Because even though Jack liked Larry as a friend, he didn't trust him with women and money. Plus, Jack had seen and heard stories about all the people Larry had swindled over the years. However, Janet DID buy a user car from Larry in "Forget Me Not".

The one time one of Larry's cars was a good buy was in "The Brunch" when the reverend told Larry that the car runs good.That's the only time I heard Larry selling a good car.
