this may be a werid question, but how do you get those captions on your television??? I want to know because then, I would be able to continue my site of FOL scripts from every episode without mis hearing any words or mis quoting them. PLease help, I really want to finish up my site, but trying to catch up with the chracter's fast- talking word for word is litereally impossible...help!!

Sorry, kiddo.
There's no caption on FOL. Therefore, I'm hearing impaired and I felt bummed out. I used to watch that show some 20 years ago. It didn't have closed caption back then. So I just turned the volume way high and enjoyed my favorite show. I can read their lips. I suggest that you should write a letter to NAN and have them to provide closed caption on FOL in near future. They did that on All the Family but why not on FOL? |

Jo's the bomb, what's your site address?
On my TV, there isn't any captioning although I noticed there is for Threes Company, I Love Lucy, Gilligan's Island, but not Diffrent Strokes. |

Also, shows are selected by the companies that make te captions, and/or the production company. Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life were made by the same company and I beleive there aren't any captions.
Also, captions aren't always correct. When I turn them on during Three's Company (I don't know why I do sometimes) they sometimes have the wrong things. Strange enough, when Felipe speaks in Spanish, they have it written down corretly. Strange! Many of the captions are made by The American Educational Soceity. ------------------ Jack: I'm surprised at you. Where would all the great women of history be if they thought like that!? Look at Joan of Ark and what she accomplished. And, and Florence Nightengale and Madam Curry. Chrissy: And Lucretia Borzok. Janet: She posioned people. Chrissy: Yeah, but she was very good at it. You could also try checking in the "menu" section of your TV. On the remote, I have a caption button, but I can also get it through the Menu. It says "setup", then "captioning", and then "ON" or "OFF". I hope that helps.
