Default What will fill Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond time slots?

We all know that Joey is getting the old Friends time slot on Thursday Nights which has been the timeslot of the Cosby Show and Friends for the past 20 years except for a 1 year run of a Different World and a 2 year fun of Mad About You at that time slot in the mid 90s.

I definately say that Two and a Half Men will bump up to 9PM Eastern if Raymond does leave after 8 seasons. King of Queens is drawing well on Wednesday Nights so I assume it will remain there with a new comedy.

As for Frasier, I have not got a clue. I do not expect any of the Tuesday Comedies to come back maybe with the exception of Happy Family, but it needs to stay at the half hour mark and not as an anchor show. So it looks like NBC may needs to find some new comedies for Tuesday Nights for the Fall 2004.

Ive heard somewhere before that there's talks of a "Raymond" spinoff about the brother. (that may possibly fill the slot)

And Ive always thought that Frasier should have a spinoff.
Its still a possibility.... isnt it??

Raymond- Either "The King Of Queens" or possibly a "Raymond" spinoff series (There were rumors of Ray leaving Debra and a possible spinoff being centered around Debra as a single mom with Marie and Frank "helping".Robert MIGHT get a show but after what happened earlier this year, it seems unlikely)

CBS Mondays
8:00- Yes, Dear
8:30- Still Standing
9:00- The King of Queens (or Raymond spinoff)
9:30- Two and a Half Man

KOQ and Becker (which will be cancelled) will be replaced by a new drama series.

Frasier- I think "Will & Grace" will be moved to Tuesdays as the new "headliner"

NBC Tuesdays
8:00- New Sitcom (or possibly Tracy Morgan)
8:30- Whoopi
9:00- Will & Grace
9:30-Happy Family

NBC Thursdays
8:00- Joey
8:30- Good Morning Miami
9:00-New Sitcom
9:30-Scrubs

why would Ray leave Debra? I haven't seen any of the new episodes but I thought they were happily married!

I dont think Will and Grace would leave Thursdays.... next to Frasier and Friends.... W&G is NBC's biggest sitcom.

All I know is.... LOTS of new shows coming next fall.
Hopefully something good.

It may be, but NBC has nothing for Tuesday next season. Nothing at all. Unless they want to get down to 6 comidies (and air a reality show on Tuesdays at 8pm), W&G will like move back to Tuesdays. Whoppi and Happy Family also have an excellent shot at coming back.

Ether way, it's going to be a loooong season for NBC next year. Basically, Must See Thursday is dead as of the finale of Friends.

AOh, and Raymond is mostly likely going to be back. I just read an interview with Ray Romano the other day and he said that they'll likely work something out. CBS is NOT going to let this one go.

Could you imagine? Friends, Raymond and Frasier all leaving in the same year? I mean, Frasier really isn't anything anymore (in the ratings, anyway), but the top two sitcoms saying good bye?

I think the only thing that will save NBC next season would be moving American Dreams to the vacant Tuesday night slot. Resurrecting State of Grace would help a great deal, too.

NBC made State of Grace??
(and even if they did.... I wouldnt bet on it.... that girl is now part of the cast of "Arrested Development" on FOX)

Something HAS to move to NBC Tuesdays.... or they can just throw the night away all together (besides their precious L&A:Enter Initials Here)

No, ABC Family did, but I thought NBC would have a golden opportunity to anchor their Tuesday (or Thursday if Joey doesn't work out) night schedule with that show. That proposal is kind of a reverse of ABC airing Diff'rent Strokes for its last season or two after NBC dropped it.

Yeah, but what if that show gets the axe? Is that show in the top 20? Top 100?

I for one liked "State of Grace" but after almost 2 years off the air.... it shows no chance of coming back.... and I highly doubt it would be able to anchor the night.

Arrested Development may not be in the top 20 (not sure about 100 though).... but its damn good show. A definately a critic's fav.
And the ratings improved vastly the last time it aired.
But with FOX.... you never know.

All I know is that 2004-2005 will be NBC's worst year in 20 years since the premiere of "The Cosby Show"
