Question The Ben Mystery

Doesnt anyone wonder where Ross' son Ben has been since Emma was born? It doesnt even seem like he's aware that he has a sister. It was like Ben kept showing up a lot in new episodes, then Emma was born, and Ben dissapeared. I know there are things that we dont see, but the poor kid must feel neglected.

I wonder a lot where Emma is. It is like Ben disappeared and they rarely show Emma with her parents. Ross and Rachel go out on dates, out of town, hang out at the coffee shop, at Monica's etc. and you hardly see or hear about any of the children.
Like someone else stated, Ben seems to have disappeared and I guess when you have a busy life drinking coffee and hanging around at Monica and Chandlers place you dont really have time for your children since your life is that hectic.
And I am suprised that Monica has not asked about Ben that is her nephew and she loves babies and children.

What happened to Ben and Emma? It's like Ross and Rachel have neglected their kids!

Oh, but Emma is always "taking a nap". I like the one answer on the poll "Who's Ben?" HAHA. Makes me want to answer that one since I haven't seen him in so long.

A little off-topic, but not really. Maybe I'm looking too much into this, but has anybody else noticed that whenever a baby is being born-Carol's, Rachel's & when Phoebe was giving birth to the triplets--the hospitals are terrible with their sanitation practices. I mean all those people in the room when Carol was in the middle of the delivery? And how come nobody is making Ross wear scrubs during the birth of Ben & Emma, and Frank Jr. during the birth of his triplets? This is just something I noticed. Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and will be very sad when it ends, but when I have a baby, I hope MY doctor is wearing a surgical mask!!

One of the reasons I like Everybody Loves Raymond is that while they have kids, you see them very seldom. Nothing is worse than "cute kids" who spew lines that no real kid would say.

I thought Ross and Rachel having a kid was a mistake and while what's done is done, I'm glad we don't see too much of the kid. I like kids in real life, but for some reason, they don't work on sitcoms.

I completely agree. It is unrealistic that Ben and Emma aren't around more, but I think it's better that way.

yeah, none of the kids are around but someone made a good point before. The show is suppose to be a fraction of their lives, so would the audience prefer to see 20 minutes of Rachel taking care of Emma or the gang having fun?

I wonder, what happened to the chick and duck?

Keep in mind that you're only seeing 30 minutes of their lives every week. I'm sure Ross sees his son quite often.
