Default Alice's Cousin

It has been years since I have seen the episode where Alice's twin cousin runs the Brady House. Is this one not aired much for some reason?

I used to see it when it was on TV Land.

I was just commenting to my husband today that some of the classic episodes (as well as others) or at least episodes with classic lines are not aired often on TVLand. My Sister's Shadow ("Marcia, Marcia, Marcia") I remember seeing only once. I thought "Oh, that's where that came from." Others I don't often see:

Sorry, Right Number
Vote for Brady
The Subject Was Noses
Fright Night
Dough Re Mi

I've wondered why TVLand does that.

The Bradys were way to nice to Cousin Emma. They totally let her take over their household just so Alice's feelings wouldn't be hurt.

Mike and Carol could have nipped Emma's controlling behavior in the bud when she started. They could have said, very tactfully, "Emma, we appreciate your concern about everyone's physical fitness. But we're a little more laid back around here, so it would probably be better if you focus on running the household, and let us worry about the kids."

Of course, then the episode would have ended about ten minutes in. But I sure as hell wouldn't have let my family be bossed around by a temporary housekeeper.

That's for sure.

And another thing: When Carol bought the cake for a welcome home to Alice, why did she act so guilty when Emma came in and saw it? What would be wrong with telling her they're having a welcome home cake for Alice?

That took me a while to sift through, but my take is that Emma thought Carol made the cake for her, and if Carol told her it was for Alice (in celebration of her return, undoubtedly!), then her feelings likely would have been hurt. I do believe it was after the cake was presented, albeit accidentally, to Emma, that she took it as a gesture the Bradys enjoyed "calisthenics at 0600 hours" (or similar).
