Default Pyramid Plans Big February Sweeps Classic TV Week, Soap Week, Trading Spaces Week, etc

MATT LEBLANC AS JOEY TRIBBIANI PLAYS “PYRAMID”
ON FEBRUARY 5 EPISODE OF “FRIENDS” ON NBC

Game Show Boasts Exciting Lineup for February: TV Show Reunions; Soap Villains and Heroes; Favorites from TLC’s Trading Spaces; And the Second $100,000 Tournament of the Season

CULVER CITY, CA (January 14, 2004) – Pyramid kicks off the February sweep with the show and host Donny Osmond featured in an episode of “Friends” on NBC,
leading into an exciting February sweeps lineup for the game show. “Friends” star Matt LeBlanc’s character Joey Tribbiani appears as a celebrity guest on Pyramid during the February 5 episode of the hit comedy series (8:00-8:30 pm ET/PT). Filmed entirely on
location at the Pyramid set in November, host Donny Osmond tries to encourage an over-confident Joey through the word-association game. When Joey begins to realize that any mistake he makes is actually costing someone money, he begins to panic.

“Having the crew of Friends come to the Pyramid set to film these scenes was really a thrill,” commented Osmond. “Considering that this is their final season, we were really honored. Matt has incredible comic timing, and working with him was a real treat.”

Pyramid also has an all-star line-up for February. During the week Friends airs, Feb. 2-6, Pyramid reunites past TV favorites from Dallas, Happy Days, The Love Boat, M*A*S*H and The Brady Bunch. Competing to make it to the Winner’s Circle are Charlene Tilton and Joan Van Ark (Dallas); Erin Moran and Marion Ross (Happy Days); Bernie Kopell and Jill Whelan (The Love Boat); Loretta Swit and Jamie Farr (M*A*S*H); and Christopher Knight and Barry Williams (The Brady Bunch).

“Sweethearts Week” airs Feb. 9-13, leading into Valentine’s Day. Hollywood couple Jerry O’Connell and Giuliana DePandi (E! Entertainment Television), Mario
Lopez and fiancé Ali Landry, and country stars Sammy Kershaw and Lorrie Morgan attempt to make this a Valentine’s Day to remember for the Pyramid contestants.

The week of Feb. 16-20 features some of the good, the bad…but not the ugly from Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless, General Hospital and The Bold
and the Beautiful, as Pyramid’s “Good vs. Evil Soap Opera Week” kicks into high gear.

The week of Feb. 23-27 features some of Trading Spaces’ most popular talent as host Paige Davis, designers Laurie Hickson-Smith and Kia Steave-Dickerson, and carpenters Amy Wynn Pastor and Carter Oosterhgous see if they can turn their design expertise into Winner’s Circle moments.

The excitement continues in the Winner’s Circle on Mar. 1-3, as four contestants who have already won $25,000 return for their chance at $100,000 in the second $100,000 Tournament of the season.

Pyramid is produced and distributed by Sony Pictures Television (SPT).

Stephen Brown is executive producer and Harry Friedman (“Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy!”) serves as executive consultant.

I remember watching $100,000 Pyramid in the early 1990's. Don't know if it was one made in the early 90's or a rerun of one in the 1980's. I do remember though that their was this one womanwith long blonde hair on it that always wore a pink suit, everytime she was on(which was many). She was quite a beauty not to mention she definitely looked very pretty in pink and had a very beautiful sounding voice and laugh. Can't remember if she won or not(I hope hse did.)I know she came very close several times. I was wondering if anyone knew what season that was and if I could find it anywhere on DVD or video casette tape.

They did that a few years ago, maybe in 2004. It must have worked well. Dawn Wells and Russell Johnson were on last time for a day.

I too watched $100,000 Pyramid in the 1980's and early 1990's. It was a good show. Much better than the new Pyramid they made recently. An old friend of mine had tapes of the show. Unfortunately I lost contact with him a few years ago.

However I do believe I do remember seeing the lady you're talking about. Can't remember what year it was. But I do remember a gorgeous blonde lady with a sexy voice who always wore pink suit, pink pants, pink high heeled shoes etc. everytime she was on. She was very gorgeous indeed. I loved all the pink she wore too. Pink is by far my favorite color to see a woman wear. It makes them look so beautiful and feminine. And she was very beautiful and feminine looking indeed. BTW, I believe her name was Diane or Diana.

I too was rooting for her to win. Unfortunately I don't think she did. Can't remember for sure. Hope she did, but I don't think so. Though you are right that she did come very close several times. Too bad if she didn't. She definitely deserved to. It's a huge letdown whenever you see a beautiful woman(especially one who always dresses all in pink) lose. However if my memory is wrong and she did win that that is definitely awesome indeed. Hopefully one of these days I can find a tape or DVD or someone who owns a tape or DVD with her on it. Even if she didn't win it'd just be awesome to see her beauty, hear her beautiful voice, and see her in her beautiful pink suit again.
