Default Valentine's Day "Tad the Cad" Marathon on SOAPnet

Celebrate Valentine's With Tad!
On Saturday, February 14 (irony alert!), at 1 p.m. EST, SOAPnet will present "Tad The Cad," a celebration of the ALL MY CHILDREN loverboy's libidinous escapades. The six-hour marathon, hosted by two of Michael E. Knight's (Tad) current leading ladies — Bobbie Eakes (Krystal) and Terri Ivens (Simone) — features these episodes:

February 12, 2003: The Fan February outing where Tad is seduced by scores of Pine Valley women on the day of his wedding to Erica
August 19, 1983: When it all began — Tad makes love to a young and naive Liza
August 30, 1983: That was quick! Tad romances Liza's mother, Marian, who double-crosses both her husband and daughter to be with her boy toy
April 19, 1996: Ouch! Liza confronts Tad about the tryst they had behind Dixie's back
April 30, 1996: Double ouch! Marian then gets in Tad's face about his affair with Liza
December 31, 2003: In full cad mode, Tad spends New Year's Eve pursued by Liza, Simone and Krystal!

It should be re-airing sometime on the 15th.

Tad has also been involved with Liza & Marian (at the same time) Dottie Thornton, Hillary Wilson, & Gloria Marsh (couldn't stand her!) . Hope they show Tad's dreadful wedding to Hillary, that episode was hilarious. Tad was locked in a vault at the Pine Valley Bank, Hillary (in her wedding dress) was hit by a car driven by Edna Thornton, while back at the church Phoebe was stirring up all kinds of trouble for poor Tad. I have this episode on tape, but its an old tape & I'd like to tape it again. The triangle with Liza & Marian was Michael E. Knight's first storyline when he came on the show.

I can't stand Tad. I'd rather see Erica get a marathon than him. I am sure they will air that February sweeps episode.

Well I LOVE Tad, he is a great character with humor and charm and has been potrayed for years by the talented and charming Micheal E. Knight. Thanks for the info, i monmentarily forget about Liza and Marian and couldn't remember if it was Tad or Dimitri that was involved with Gloria... wasn't Adam also involved with her? Don't remember Hillary because i was only a toddler.

Also it would be cool to see an Erica Marathon at somepoint... i'm glad they are doing an "AMC" marathon instead of another "GH" martahon of Sonny or Carly or Brenda... they are boring.

Tad & Dimitri were both involved with Gloria. They had a big fight over her at the Marick mausoleum. I believe that was the reason Gloria left town. Can you believe its been six years ago this month since all that happened? Seems like only yesterday. I was going through some old tapes the other day and came across that episode. It was during the first Crystal Ball.

Gloria was married to Adam long before she got involved with Tad & Dimitri. Remember Adam caused Gloria to prematurely give birth to their baby. That was a sad episode when Gloria said goodbye to their baby, because it was like the size of an orange.

Hope that helps, factsoflife.

Thanks for the info i couldn't remember... Since you seem to know a lot about Gloria would you mind giving me a bit of history about the character, when/why she was first introduced, who she was involved with througout her run, was she considered a herione or a villian? How many years she was on and who were her friends, ect.... Thanks....

Default History of Gloria

Gloria came on the show sometime in 1991. It was soon revealed that she had a past with Craig Lawson, a shady character who was romancing Dixie at the time. Gloria was one of the 15 suspects for the murder of Will Cortlandt in 1992 (one of the best murder mysteries in the history of soaps, IMO). Gloria was soft-spoken & quiet, and she eventually became friends with Dixie & Stuart. She got mixed up with Adam & had his baby (the baby died) & she went into a deep depression. Gloria was then paired off with Tad after the first time Dixie left in 1996. In 1997 she was wooed by Dimitri and that's when the triangle of her, Tad, & Dimitri started. It was too much for her to handle & she ended up leaving town in January 1998. Teresa Blake played Gloria Marsh the whole time. Gloria was a nurse at Pine Valley Hospital most of the time she was on the show. There were times though when she wouldn't have a storyline for months & be reduced to a background character at the hospital. I'd say Gloria would be considered a heroine. It wasn't the character I couldn't stand, it was Teresa Blake, I thought she was very annoying after a while.
Hope that helps.

Yes, it was Janet from another planet. Even today when I watch those episodes I still get chills. Such good acting by everyone involved in that storyline. I loved how Opal & Palmer acted so strange the next morning after Will's murder when Dixie was questioning them because no one knew where they were the night before.

yeah back in the late 80's-mid 90's "AMC" was really at the top of its game, no doubt due to Agnes Nixons influence... she is sorley missed in daytime, her class, diginity and fearless ability to tackle subject that no one else would dare too.

The first post has been edited with episode information from ABC Soaps in Depth.

I'll definitely be taping the 1983 and 1996 episodes -- hopefully by then SOAPnet will come in clearly on my TV again. -_-

I really thought they would show the episode where Tad proposed to Dixie wearing the Chicken costume.
