My parents finally got fed up with AOL services and we switched to Earthlink last night. I'm still learning the ropes, but so far, I like it so much better than America Off-Line.
Does anyone else here have Earthlink or had it in the past? Is it really better than AOL? |

I've had AOL for as long as I can remember, and I love it. It has great features.
Good luck with Earthlink though.

My family used to have AOL but we got rid of it last year at around this time. I didn't like it when I used the boards because I couldn't do moderator stuff like stick/unstick threads, close/open threads, etc. because of the way they handled cookies. People also couldn't vote in polls for a long time for the same reason. Over the summer these flaws were corrected by TJ and since then, nobody has had trouble voting in polls or anything.
Anyways my family got Road Runner and it is pretty fast. It recently got up to 50 times faster than it used to. The only problem is that when I go visit other people's houses, I have to get used to their dial-up but that isn't too hard to do. |

I've been told that I don't even need AOL since I have some super high speed modem thing with my cable company. I pay $45 for that per month, and I still pay for AOL, but only because I'm so used to it.
All that stuff confuses me.
