Does anyone here know who owns the rights to this show? According to tvshowsondvd.com Fox owns the rights...but I called Fox today and they said that wasn't true. Then again, they also told me in the past that they didn't own Dharma & Greg, but that is false, as the VP of Fox Home Entertainment Peter Staddon recently said that D & G is being considered for DVD this year.

Yes, 20th Century Fox owned the show which ran on ABC. Fox syndicated it on their stations in 1989 but last I heard some Canadian tv station aired the show about two years ago. I emailed a program director about rights and what they paid but he said he couldn't reveal that.

As far as I know, 20th Century TV does own the show and they can release it on DVD if they wanted to.
Let's make them WANT to release it. One way of showing them would be to go to TVShowsOnDVD.com, register, and add yourselves to the number of people asking for its release. http://tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=2880 ![]() Gerry |

Therein lies the problem, 20TH CENTURY FOX owns the rights, and they are NOTORIOUSLY slow in releasing their product (whether it be movies or TV shows) on DVD.
Would snatch MR. BELVEDERE up in a heartbeat when it's released, but I'm not holding my breath! |
