I know it's been dicussed before. In fact, I think Sitcom Analyzer is the one that started the thread, but I have to agree that the convicted murderer was planning to poison Jack and Terri.
Yes, I know he told Terri there was a worm in the salad. But, don't you think a quality chef like Jack Tripper would have noticed that? Besides, Ray didn't even know Jack was going to cook dinner or that they would even be eating salad. What if they went out for pizza? Who just walks around with a packet of seasoning in their pocket? Weirdos do! Ray told Terri that there was a worm in the salad because he liked her for saving him from the police officer that Janet dragged to the apartment. He didn't want her to eat the salad and if he told her there really was poison in there, they could have had the police arrest him. Also, in the beginning of the episode Ray clearly states that he's running late. Yet, when Janet tells Ray that Terri will take him to the hospital, suddenly he has no other plans because he has his next victim. Do you honestly think he would give up his appointments for a random girl just because he thought she was nice? He wanted to take her somewhere and brutally kill her. So it's a good thing Janet saw him put the poison in the salad otherwise Terri and Jack would have been dead. And Ray...I'll see you in court! |

And why did he had to whisper that it was a worm in the salad?-LOL He could have just said to all of them that it was a worm in the salad so don't eat it. So that was proof that RAY definitely put poison in the salad. |

Both Jack & Janet fainted at the end when they believed Ray tried to poison them with the salad, & I can't believe how naive Terri was in actually believing Ray's story that there was a worm on the salad! sheesh!

Exactly, the point of him saying don't eat the salad because he didn't want to kill Terri. It wasn't because of a worm |

I never analyzed that one...kind of creepy now that I think about it. Not only do people not walk around with seasoning in their pocket, if it really was "seasoning", why was he hiding it? He would have said, "Would you like to try my special seasoning?"
He really did look sneaky. They should have kept him behind bars! |

Very True. Ray was very creepy and very manpulative. Jack, Janet, & Terri were too trusting and they should of had him arrested.
