Yes, I agree and I've thought of something to post. Do you remember the story about Randal Utterback where he was stalking and kidnapped his girlfriend, then she escaped? The story said she was in hiding and I think he escaped from jail and was on the run. Does anybody know if he was caught? This is one of those cases where I figured he would be caught by now (hopefully he has been). Let me know if anyone finds out.

Also the story about Tommy Gibson, the 2 year old that disappeared from Oregon and his dad (a deputy sheriff) was later convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to only 3 YEARS in jail. I am curious as to what happened at the trial. They said his wife testified against him and his daughter said daddy hit Tommy until he fell down which was contrary to what they said on the UM segment. They never found his body but when I did a search about it, it directed me to this K9 rescue organization that has a list of the people they have found. Tommy's name is on the list and all it says is "we proved that Tommy's father killed him". I am very curious as to what they would have found. Anyone else's thoughts.....

ROFL! I'm sorry, but your post REALLY cracked me up.

We need some debate material here, that always makes boards active.

I like your sentiment, but, sorry, discussing Unsolved Mysteries doesn't put me in a kinky mood.

However, I have a question. Hopefully it will liven up this board. I'll dedicate it to CanadianMysteryGrl.

My sister recently mentioned a segment on UM that she said really scared me to death at the time. I've (thankfully) repressed that segment; for every mystery, there is someone, somewhere, who holds the key. Perhaps it's someone on this message board. Perhaps...it's YOU!

She said it aired when I would have been in either junior high or just starting high school, so we're talking early 90s here. This glowing and hovering reddish-orange orb was haunting either a mansion or a regular house. She said it would just appear, hover for a few seconds, glowing in the darkness, and then float away.

Does anyone remember this? If it aired, I'm glad I've forgotten it!

Did anyone catch yesterday night's episode? I missed the first segment, but my god, there was nothing but "Lost Loves" stories the entire program!

I wonder why Lifetime can't give us information about upcoming episodes of UM that aren't their own? There's an episode guide filled with descriptions here, so that shouldn't be any problem! I still have to get a few segments to complete the "Scariest Cases of Unsolved Mysteries" tapes.

Say, what do you think is the scariest sketch you've ever seen on UM? I think mine would have to be the 3 composites they showed during a segment where armored vans were being held-up. (Sorry, I'm always obscure on my descriptions)

I KNOW THIS ONE I KNOW THIS ONE.

But it was a """glowering, hoovering, reddish-orange BLOB."""
It haunted my house REGULARLY , hoovering periodically at will and recycling used paper towels from our garbage cans.... and it was for as much as 2 weeks at a time.....not mere seconds. It GLOWERED it did not GLOW. It didn't float away peacefully (floating is impossible to do at 345 pounds) I had to cart it to the airport as it b*tched and whined the whole way.

This was my ex mother in law, Bertha. Thankfully, I was able to exorcise this fat poltergeist during the divorce. The chicken feet and bats wings I placed under our bed while she visited also worked as birth control and might have warded off my having children with her simple-minded son……the smell seemed to dampen our romantic adore. I told him it was a catchy foot fungus.

Sidebar (Why did she insist on hennaing her wirey hair Lucille Ball red/ orange? It scared my dogs til they peed on her Wal-Mart tennis shoes. Also when she sweated, red henna ran all over her face making her look like the latest victim of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

There are definately a lot of different things that have been shown on Unsolved Mysteries and could be great discussion topics. I've posted a few, like about Kristi Krebs, Devin Williams and the three Native American teenagers. Kristi Krebs went missing after getting her car stuck in the mud while being deep in the forest. Devin Williams is the missing truck driver. The three Native American teenagers were involved in a car accident and two of the teenagers turned up dead under suspicious circumstances. Those are very interesting cases.

I must say I've seen these UM stories so many times, they don't scare me anymore. I watch my tapes of them late at night a lot. One I always thought was creepy though was the Cindy James. Can you imagine living alone and getting harassing and threatening phone calls late at night? Not to mention the attacks she suffered. Maybe I'm in the minority but I DO NOT think she did those things to herself. When she was found dead she had been hog tied and injected with a massive amount of drugs, yet there was no syringe around to indicate that she had injected herself. Do they think she injected herself that high an amount of drugs then drove across town so she could tie herself up? Ridiculous! The reporter they interviewed who wrote one of the books was clearly sceptical of Cindy James claims. He boasted that the "knot specialist" could tie himself up in the same position Cindy was found in when she died in 3 minutes. The only problem is that to the best of my knowledge, Cindy wasn't a knot specialist!

Cindy James is a case I have taken alot of interest in. I contacted Ozzie Kaban the PI she had hired and became close friends with.

I live very close to exactly where she lived in Richmond BC.
I am in Coquitlam, BC. (We are just so proud to have the massive serial killer cae of the Pig Farmer who was killing homeless women and hookers and allegedly feeding their remains to his pigs.....blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!... Turns me off pork pies.)......

Roy Makepeace a south African Dr. who was Cindys ex hubby seems to have mysteriously disappeared. I wonder.....

Sidebar: Would you rather eat a sausage with a hookers tush in it or a hamburger with mad cow brains in it?
I am soooo crude......

That is very interesting! You say Roy Makepeace has disappeared? He didn't just go back to South Africa? What all has Ozzie Kaban told you about the case? Does he have any idea who was stalking her or does he think she was doing it herself? It would be very interesting to hear what you learned from him!

Last night's episode, let's face it, SUCKED! The only good story was the first story where a Mayoral candidate was gunned down in East Chicago, IN in 1981 by the police chief. I turned UM off after that case.

So far I have leaned NOTHING NEW from Mr Kaban.

Someone was looking for Dr. Roy Makepeace in connection with something else and he cannot be found.

I think Cindy James did make up aot of the stuff personally and I think she was mentally ill and wanted attention but I am not certain that in the end she killed herself alone. I think she had someone tie her up and it maybe went wrong and she was not found as she had planned. Do you have both books? I used to but gave them away. I wanted to know her parents names.

James was a name she assumed.
