references to deep throat in this show
Since you all have a great understanding and memory of this hit show, I was wondering if any one of you could help me. I am doing research for a documentary that is exploring the sexual and cultural revolution of the late 60s and early 70s through the lens of the 1972 film "Deep Throat." In our exploration of this, we are searching for mentions of the film itself or its stars (Linda Lovelace and Harry Reems). Any mentions would be fantastic.
Not sure if any of you know anything about this movie, but it did made its way into the mainstream, being referenced on the Johnny Carson show multiple times. Also, we found a reference to it in an episode of "Sanford and Son." It is the most successful adult film of all time, grossing an estimated $600 million.
