I was at work last Saturday and I'm sure anyone who lives in the New England area knows how brutally cold it was. You'd think it was the type of weather to keep people indoors, but NOOO!!! Everybody had to be out grocery-shopping. The store was packed! It was freezing cold in the store too. I also had a huge migraine and was feeling really stressed out. A lot of the customers were a lot grumpier and whinier and moodier than usual. (Duh! They live in Massachusetts. They should know by now how cold and snowy it can get.) Anyhoo, I started thinking about that episode of The X-Files where Antonio appeared as a scientist who had a deadly shadow. I said to myself, "Wouldn't it be so nice to have that shadow and zap all these crybabies into oblivion and they can't return until they learn to act like mature adults?"
The X-Files is one of those shows I liked at first, but lost interest in after a couple of seasons. I liked the stories, but it often got too graphic for me

Hm, can't believe I didn't see this post before...
Well, Snoopy, I won't comment on your obvious aggressive tendencies OR your lack of taste. Good thing you like "Wings" or I'd have no confidence in you at all. ![]() Speaking of graphic television (gosh, I never thought TXF was too bad in that regard) I'm hoping to finally have a new show to watch. Yes, can you believe I said *new show*?? Me, who has given up modern television? Anyhoo, it'll probably disappoint, but I'm willing to give it a shot: http://abc.go.com/movies/kingdomhospital.html Love, Wing<>< |

oooh, yes, Kristen, you are right about the cold weather!! I think last Thursday was the coldest day though. I didn't leave my house all day. I was supposed to go out with some friends that night, but by 6:30 PM, the temperature had already dropped to -1 degrees, and the windchill was about -30, and I was like, "heck no am I going out in this!"
It must have been even colder up where you are though, because you're farther north than me. lol anyway, I don't think I've ever seen that "X-Files" episode with Tony Shalhoub. And I'm the opposite of you, I think, about "X-Files"... I woudn't watch it at the beginning. I think the first few seasons were far too graphic for me. Plus, I was kinda young when it first started. Then i started watching regularly at around the 4th or 5th season (I think). But then, after a coule of seasons, I lost interest and stopped watching. It was a good show for a little while, though. |

![]() I know what you're talking about, sister! And I think some customers come in aggravated and it's like they think it's okay to take it out on the poor people who work there. I think everybody oughta work in a customer-service type job at least once in their lives so that they will get an idea of what it's like. Love, Wing<>< |

Heck yeah. And make sure you see all the "funny" ones: -Humbug -Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose -War of the Coprophages -Syzygy -Jose Chung's From Outer Space -Quagmire -Small Potatoes -The Post-Modern Prometheus -Bad Blood -How the Ghosts Stole Christmas -Rain King My favorite "funny" ones are "Humbug," "Bad Blood" & "Jose Chung's"... I'm tellin' ya, anybody who does not laugh at the stuff in "Humbug" is humor-impaired. I know it's a twisted kind of humor, but it is funny stuff. I noticed "How the Ghosts..." is coming on next Wednesday at 1am on TNT. I think I already have that one on tape. If you've never seen "Jose Chung's From Outer Space," it's amazing and comes on Thursday (the 29th) at 4pm on the Sci-Fi channel.
It's from season 3. It's got Charles Nelson Reilly, Jesse Ventura & Alex Trebek in it. hee hee. Love, Wing<>< |
