Default Tanner House: 2nd Floor Layout

OK, here's the first draft of the 2nd Floor Layout. I'm still not 100% sure on some of this, so feel free to comment. Notice how this layout doesn't match up with the 1st Floor Layout. Nor does it match up with the outside shots of the house.

Let's look at some other problems with this:

#1. The hallway just after climbing the stairs from the living room. At the end is the door to the attic stairs. To the right, there's a short step up to get to the 2nd Floor hallway. Notice where the window is in DJ's room. On the show, it looks outside. But the first hallway should be blocking the view.

#2. DANNY'S ROOM. Two things wrong here. Notice the placement of the fireplace. It doesn't line up with the fireplace in the living room. Also, there's a door in this room. Where on earth could that possibly lead? I thought maybe a balcony, but there doesn't seem to be a balcony on the show. When they're in the backyard, you can see that wall on the second floor. Then again, I could be wrong.

#3. JOEY'S ROOM. I couldn't remember if there was a window in this room. I'll check it out when I get some more time.

#4. Given the layout of the upstairs as it's seen on the show, we're left with a MYSTERY ROOM. It would be directly across the hall from Danny's room. Sure, it could be an extension to Joey's room (since we never see how far it goes in that direction) but I SERIOUSLY doubt it. What do you all think?

#5. Where the heck do the stairs from the kitchen lead? They never show us the FAR SIDE of the hall on the show. I'm guessing the stairs from the kitchen wind into a steeper staircase and they come out at the end of the hall by Danny's room. I didn't know where to put them on the layout. My whole concept of that side of the hall could be WAY off. Again, I'd love to hear some more opinions. That would make a good debate.

I look forward to hearing what you all have to say!

In Peace,
King Creole

CORRECTION!!

I just noticed that if you set the 2nd floor layout on top of the 1st, it does work.

My mistake.

Wait a second! Correct me if I'm wrong please, but I thought when you first go up the living room stairs you look on your right, then you see DJ's room. Then if you go to the door next to it, you'll see Joey's room (Jesse's old room), and then you'll see Danny's room. And on the other side it goes, the bathroom, Stephanie and Michelle's room and that's it.

Please, reply.

Thank you!

OK, check it out.

Let's say you're standing in the living room. You walk up the first set of stairs, turn right and walk up the second set of stairs to the 2nd floor hallway. At the end of that hallway is the door to the attic. You have to turn right AGAIN to get to the main 2nd floor hall.

I realized this while watching the episode where Jesse goes back to school. He opens the door to the attic and starts to go through, but stops when Michelle throws her shoes out her bedroom door.

At least that's how I see it. Anyone else have any thoughts?

In Peace,

Oh yeah! And Stephanie's room has to be across from Joey's room. Remember the Rusty episode back when Joey's room was Jesse's room? Rusty tied a jumprope to Jesse's door and Stephanie's door so neither could get out. Those rooms were right across the hall from one another. No slant at all. They were DIRECTLY across from one another.

In Peace,

Default Upstairs

It would be easier if someone could draw a plan of the house. I wonder if that is available somewhere.

I didn't get that either.....I guess it's a mistake, but oh well, all shows have mistakes.

Same w/many other tv shows (Happy Days, Family Matters, Step BY Step, Growing Pains, & The Brady Bunch-all the floor plans change every season or so-I wonder why they change the layout of the stairs) Hmm
