Default Do you ever get tired of Bewitched????

Personally, I never get tired of watching Bewitched. I've been watching Bewitched for my whole life, basically. But other shows that I used to love I can not watch now. For example, when I was younger I liked Happy Days and also Laverne and Shirley. But now, I really can't even bear to watch these shows, they irritate me so badly. I've found that I don't really like All in the Family that much either and I used to love that show.

So, my question is this:

What is it about some shows that you never get tired of watching them but others, over time, begin to irritate you and you can't watch them????????

I love Sanford and Son, Bewitched, Andy Griffith, Odd Couple, Taxi, etc. These shows, no matter how many times I've seen them, I never get tired of.

Nope, I never get tired of watching Bewitched. In fact, I get depressed if I miss it or if I decide to watch something else because I saw the repeated episode earlier in the day. Then I just began to feel gulity because I'm watching something else and well of course I never get tired of drooling over Liz.

I don't usually get tired of watching other shows. If I do I'll stop watching them for maybe a week or two and then remember that I haven't seen them in a while. Then I'll start watching them again.

I've watched "Bewitched" almost all of my life and never get bored with it. I tend to taper off in my religious viewing of it as it goes into the last season which I find very disappointing .

Although I must admit with the repeated viewings I now sometimes pay more attention to things like spotting reaccuring props, continuity errors, spotting reaccuring extras that appeared in alot of episodes and watching the performers that are in a scene but not the centre of attention to see if they are really acting still or just waiting for their next line etc, things like that.

The show is hugely enjoyable and I think "Bewitched", had a really "nice look" about it too. I HATE all the "filmed before a studio audience" comedy series from the 1970's. They are videotaped which gives them a cheap look which is not like the 1960's shows at all.

Post How could you.

How could you get tired of bewitched the only way that could happen if you watch them over and over again and got feed up with knowing what was going to happen.

that's exactly what happened with me, because I used to watch it ALL the time when NICK AT NITE showed it, and TV LAND first started to.
It's the same with "The Mary Tyler Moore show".

I love seasons 1-5, I could never get tired of those!!!!

But when the Dick Sergeant episodes are current, I tend to not watch Bewitched because Dick Sergeant IMO makes the show irritating. (Sorry, no offense to any Sergeant fans!!!!)

I never get tired of the Dick York episodes!!I also can watch Brady Bunch,Leave It To Beaver,MASH and lots of others without growing tired of them.
But for some reason,Happy Days(except for season one)doesn't seem as good to me when I watched it as a kid...weird,huh?

I tape all the episodes I don't already have and I find myself watching them again, I pause the tape right before the magic happens and see if they are in the same pose afer the magic happens. I guess what has kept me from getting tired of Bewitched is the magic and love they shared, it seemed so real to me growing up.

I love watching Bewitched and never get tired of watching it. The last season brings about mixed feelings because the show ran its course. ABC and William Asher did a crime to the show by bringing it back for an eighth season. I understand Liz did not want to do an eighth season and you can tell in her performances during that year. She looked as though she was pissed off by being there and it did not help matters when her husband was having an affair on her. Her energy in playing Samantha was not there. The majority of the episodes were recycled from the black and white years. The two things were redeeming from that season was the emergence of Erin Murphy, as Tabitha, and her natural acting ability. Liz's new look during that season with her hair long and those mini skirts. She was a hottie with that look.

In all Bewitched is truly a classic and an original.

I have never tired of Bewitched, ever. With a love like Sam and Darrin's (when he was played by DY, that is), how could anyone ever get bored?

No. It's one of the "classics".

Get tired of Bewitched? Bite thy mortal tongue or get turned into a wombat. (Sorry couldn't resist the levity.) Why I always find the show refreshing: the amazing trick photography, the diverse and entertaining set of characters, the poignant moments (often with Aunt Clara) and the main character (Sam) is just so darn likeable. And there are some especially good supporting characters; Aunt Clara can always be depended upon for a barrel of fun. But please, don't ask her to conjure up any barrels or you're likely to get a petrified forrest in your living room. Endora is another great character, so deftly played by the great Agnes Moorehead, who can be relied to bring much glamour and fun to an ep. And this is just for starters....
