Post Does anyone have any FOL type clothes?

I just bought some Nike's like the ones Jo,Nat,and Tootie wear. The ones with the big nike sign on the side, except mine are modernized a bit. Their awesome, I had been looking for these cool shoes for a while.

Yes! I was looking at those sneakers for the exact reason. But I decided against it. I guess the only thing I have is like those baseball shirts Jo wore in like the 2nd/3rd seasons. I was also known to wear flannel shirts in high school

Yep I have those sneakers. But the exact Royal Blue with the white swoosh Jo wore in the second season. Found em' at a Nike Factory Store for $35 bucks. And they are true old-school.

I had the sleeves on my long-sleeve button down shirt rolled up to my elbows today like Jo, but it was because my college likes to turn the heat full blast so everyone sweats (like I'm doing now in my dorm room) or off so you freeze.

Being a first-gen fan (and the same age as Nancy McKeon) I was wearin' the 80s stuff for real. I think the costumers did a cool thing in dressing the characters -- they bought stuff off the rack that real teenagers and college kids wore then.

For example, in the credits where Nat is wearing a green paisley shirt with a matching vest -- that came straight from The Limited! I still have the shirt! <grin> During the shows run I can spot a jacket here, a sweater there that was in my closet too. (I'm not sure if that is a *good* thing or not...<grin> )

Nah, i was lucky, i was little and my mom used to dress me in the usual girl-toddler-fare. But if i could go back and be a teen in any genre, it would totally be the eighties. But true, Nike and Adidas have brought back some of their classic "retro" look.

As a first-gen fan, y'all are making me feel old. Don't like hearing my old 80's sneakers referred to as "old-school" LOL

LOL, Devon! I think Natalie in the later eps wore alot of the same type of clothes I was wearing during the era... you know, those sweatshirts that went down to your knees, etc.

As far as what I own today, I saw Jo wearing a pair of cargo pants in season 5 that look similar to a pair I own. I also wear an army jacket when I am slumming around. Other than that, I am proud to say that I don't own any other icky 80's fashions.

I had a blue and white checkered shirt similar to the one that George would wear on the show. I don't tuck it in, and the shirt-tails go down to my knees. And I remember wearing those "jelly" or "Madonna" type friendship bracelets that Andy wore all of the time.

I don't have any FOL clothes, but I think they will be coming back in style. The 80's are starting to really come back, and the clothes will all be in fashion again. If you like the 80's you should all come on over tomy board. It's lots of fun,and it needs some loyal die hard fans like yourselves to keep it hopping. It's at http://pub37.ezboard.com/bthe80sappreciationsociety Come on by. I think there are a couple of threads about FOL in the TV section.
