Who saw the episode where Lamont ran for state assembly? I felt Fred was being very selfish when he kept complaining about being alone if Lamont won the election and moved to Sacramento. He should have been more supportive of Lamont's political aspirations instead of thinking of himself.

This was the basis of the show. Everytime Lamont wanted to do something that would involve him leaving the business Fred would do any and everything to prevent that.

This episode has one of the funniest Sanford and Son moments. Lamont says, "All I can say about the housing problem, is that it is a problem." Grady can be heard saying "Wow." Hilarious!

Yea, I think I seen that episode last night. That was funny as hell when Grady yelled "Wow"

I thought Fred would be happy with Lamont in the State Assembly. He could make alot of money plus $30000 a year in salary. LOL!!

Speaking of that episode, I loved the beginning of it where he has this girl over to make out with, and she coerces him into making a phone call to the local talk show.

After he makes a few comments, she takes off a little something, then he really gets into it over the phone. I thought that was funny.
