Default I just never understood why Terri and Janet made a big issue out of Jack having

female company in his room. Wasn't he a grown Man? And why couldn't he have a female visitor without the girls saying something about it? The Episode when the girls caught Felipe's cousin in his room, they were approaching Jack like they were his Parents. Was it that the girls was jealous that they didn't have company of the opposite sex?-LOL I thought if he was contributing to the monthly rent , he could have a female visitor whenever he wanted to.

I guess they felt uncomfortable if he was doing his thing in the bedroom, or they were afraid that Mr. Roper/Mr. Furley might walk in and have the three of them thrown out.

You bring up another good point. Why would Jack even take the risk of bringing a female up to the Apartment when he was supposed to be gAy. He had to pass the Ropers/Furley Apt and could have been caught.

one of my roommates would always bring her boyfriend over to stay the night and my other roommate and me always felt very uncomfortable when he stayed the night. We finally had to put the law down and say "Hey---no more boyfriends spending the night or they can chip in on the rent."

My guess is that it was just an uncomfortable situation for them and also they risked a chance of Mr. Roper or Furley catching them.

So many women came to Jack's apartment, and he would leave with them on dates - how could the landlord believe he was gay?

Janet was bossy and domineering. She did treat Jack like he was a child. I do not see the "chemistry" between them that many of you mention. Why couldn't the girls watch TV or whatever and mind their own business? Jack was about 30 years old. He can have a woman in his room!

Maybe Mr Roper thought tinkerbell was going shopping with the girls.

in the book they always called her " mother earth". when they were alone together or needed the others support they could always count on one another. that is the "chemistry" we are talking about. and if it wasnt for janet then jack would have never grown up. i think she put him in his place when needed and she really helped him grow as an individual. and i do think that it may have been uncomfortable for the girls.

People on tv rarely watch tv. They wouldn't have time to get into all those wacky antics if they watched tv like normal people.

I agree! If they sat around watching tv there wouldn't be anything funny about it! besides Jack would be nosie sometimes when the girls would bring guys to the apartment!

You're right, "Janet Rules", she did act like his mother at times, but the chemistry people always talk about on here is a passionate "Jack and Janet should have been together" type of chemistry, and I just don't see it.
