I saw it Saturday night...ahhh...I was in HEAVEN...Ewan is such a cutie...
Ya know how he's standing outside her window and yells, "Sandra Templeton! I love you and I WILL marry you!" well...I stood up at the end of the movie as my friend and I were leaving, grabbed her arm so she couldn't leave and yelled "Ewan McGregor! I love you and I WILL marry you!" I like to make an effort to embarass all my friends at Ewan McGregor movies. Oh, and I loved the movie, it was REALLY good...I'm not just saying that b/c Ewan was in it either. Oh, and Karly, it has a lot of plots b/c he's like, telling stories and all that stuff. |

I saw Big Fish- and it's fantastic! I might go see later this month- convert some of my friends! Alot of reviews I had read had said it's very different from usual Burton movies, and at first I didn't really want to see it- but it's brilliant. It's definitely like Burton's old films- the line with the shoes hanging and the witch, both look like they're from Beetlejuice or A Nightmare Before Christmas.
I loved the town of Spectre part- it was so funny seeing how much the overly happy people creeped out Bloom. Is it just me- or does Burton always seem to have one girl like Jenny in all of his films? She looks really similar to Winona in Edward Scissorhands. Also- the part where he was saying about the crow telling the future, and his dad- I was ready to cry cos he was so serious, thne when he finished it I couldn't stop laughing. |

Oh, my God, this movie was AWESOME!
I just came back from the theater, and I'm still in awe of it. Classic Tim Burton. The end of this one was one of the best endings I've ever seen on a movie. I get so aggravated when you're watching a really good movie, and when you get to the end, it's like...blah. This was certainly not the case. It makes you think...which fate did Edward see in the witch's eye: the reality or the fantasy? I'm still puzzled...All in all, this was just...totally great. When it comes out on DVD, I'll be the first one on line to buy it. ![]() ~Lauren

I just watched Big Fish tonight, and I absolutely loved it. Great performances all around by Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, and Jessica Lange. Interesting side characters with the Giant, Steve Buscemi, Danny Devito and Helena Bonham-Carter.
This movie was mystical, bittersweet, funny and sad. Kudos to Tim Burton. The ending was almost too much to take....so very sad. |
