Yes, that's right, a very unfunny episode about a statue being dedicated and Lucy having to pretend to be the statue after she breaks it, the dog licking her face was the best part. That's why most fans prefer the last Lucy Desi comedy hour instead, the one with Ernie Kovacks as that was the last time all the characters interplayed.

I'm actually quite fond of that episode! Not the best, but definately in my top 100.

It's number four on my least faves, after Drafted, Mertz and Kurtz, Ricky minds the baby and The Statue! LOL!

Ricky Minds the Baby? What's not to like about that one? I agree with your other 2 though.

Probably since Desi 'tries to be funny" he can't stand that?

No, it's not that, Desi was very funny many times on the show, even the writers learned though not to give him the whole show like they did with the bald one, their comments, not mine, i loved that one, thought Desi was excellent in it, but the minding the baby one i thought was just unfunny, and him telling a story in Spanish, what would be funny about that to a French Canadian kid anyway? LOL!

I happen to know several French Canadien kids who find that particular episode outrageously funny.

I don't understand Ricky's Spanish either, but I'm happy to listen to him speaking it!

I am an official Ricky rant translator; you can call me at 1-800- I-Understand-Ricky's-rants... but some things are better left untouched

Geez, totally agree with everything you said guys, i have nothing against Ricky telling his kid a story in Spanish, but the kid didn't understand Spanish and neither did I, so it was not one of my favorite eps, but i agree he did a great job, as always.

I wonder why they didn't raise their kid to be bilingual. I know I would. As much as anything else, it'd be so cool to be able to speak two languages!

I think that's odd too. You'd think Lucy would have learned more spanish too being married to him for 20 years.
