Default Help with a segment

I watched a segment that had already started so i couldnt watch the whole story:

This lady (who had apparently commited certain crimes) got married with an innocent man.

Some time later, she traveled to Texas (?) to visit her family.

Soon her husband received a call of his "sister-in-law" telling him that her wife was dead. He never saw her body and never attended her funeral.

Months later, his "sister-in-law" visited him but she was actually his "deceased wife"!

At the end, he had an affair with his own wife believing that she was his sister-in-law.

Id like to know more of this story and the crimes this woman was accused of.

I think the segment was part of a Diabolical Minds Special

I've seen this case before. The lady you're referring to is Marie Hilley, who went by the alias Lindsay Robbi Hannon. Later, she claimed to her husband John Homan that she was dying. Of course, Marie faked her death and she returned to John with a new name and new look as a blonde named Teri Martin, Robbi's "twin sister".

That case, I believe, was featured as part of the "diabolical minds" episode.

Very spooky case. I lived in the Anniston, AL area for 8 years(after all this happened of course), but that is where she tried to kill her daughter.

Red face Very creepy, yes

That was one of the creepiest cases I've ever seen. Especially in the reenactment where Marie was trying to nurse her daughter back to health, when in actuality she was trying to kill her. Also, in the link to the case, there is a photo of Marie with a very sinister look on her face. That picture is just as freaky as the case itself.

Default I believe she's dead...

If what I'm thinking is right, she also tried to murder her son. She did this all for insurance money.

In the end, I belive she was caught but then she escaped and died due to exposure to the cold.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

They also exhumed her first husband's body and found out that she killed him with arsenic (he was thinking about divorcing her). She started feeding her son arsenic when he insisted she pay him back some money she owed him. That scene was so sad with her daughter lying in the hospital bed begging her mother to help her because she was so sick, and her mom kept feeding her arsenic. How fitting she would die alone and out in the cold after what she did to her family. Lifetime has also showed a movie about her before.

They've shown a movie on Lifetime a few times, about this case. It starred Judith Light (Angela from Who's the Boss?) and was rather chilling, because true to the tale, she burned her mother's house down so that she could collect insurance money for the house. But instead, the house was rebuilt and so then she ended up killing her own mother-all the while pretending that she was nursing her back to health.
I also read a little segment on her, in this book called "The Most Evil Women in History" and I read that she also tried to take advantage of her son, by having him move in with his new wife and then attempting to kill the daughter in law. When that failed, she burned her own house down, so that the son had to end up moving to another apartment or whatever, she purposely planned this so that they would end up living together-so she could take advantage of people.
When I read about her childhood, it didnt' say that she suffered any abuse, in fact, her parents gave her everything. That first husband she killed, he realized that she had a spending problem. She always had to have the best furniture, newest appliances, etc and eventually, she kept blowing all of his paychecks on these things. So I guess there just never was enough money for this women and that's why she resorted to killing-although that's not the answer to this serious problem she had.

She also did try to kill her son. Fortunately for him, he left before she could do anymore damage(unlike her daughter and the husbands, he wasn't living with her, just visiting)

Let me know if I'm wrong, but I don't remember them mentioning in the Marie Hilley story about her killing her mother. I don't understand why they wouldn't mention that in a story about "diabolical minds".

She didn't do anything to her mother(I think she was dead anyway, since she was never mentioned). It was her son, daughters and husbands that she poisoned.
