Thumbs down "Roseambo" skipped...?!

I can't believe Nick at Nite did that; they just skipped over "Roseambo" for no apparent reason, unless I'm mistaken. Regardless of whether it's a bad episode or not, I've still been waiting to see it forever...plus it screws up the flow of the episodes so much.

Ironically that episode just aired in the UK last night...I'd forgotten how awful it is. It's actually important to see though to see just how dreadful it became....

The finale was amusing because Roseanne actually tried to justify this episode by claiming it was her manifested need to be a 'superwoman' . Anyone think that was the plan all along or just the way of backtracking and justifying a horrible season?

Well, they aren't to that point in the series yet(still pre-affair in regular episodes), but looking at the episodes for the next 2 weeks they will skip that episode, as well as the 2-part finale.

Last night's episode was part of Nick at Nite's "Baby New Year" extravaganza thingie. All episodes of all shows had to do with babies. For instance, the "All in the Family" episode that came after "Roseanne" was the one where Gloria goes into labor.

The writers hadn't planned on Season 9 being the last season. They got word that the show wasn't going to be renewed with only a few weeks left of the season, so they had to come up with something fast. Roseanne decided to take back control of her show by crafting the series finale the way she did.

So, to answer your question, no, it wasn't in the plan at the time. But it wasn't just to "justify" the season. Do you really think Roseanne is the type of person to apologize/justify stuff like that? Besides, Roseanne went on to say that practically the whole show and all the characters were nothing like what we'd seen throughout all nine seasons (e.g., Jackie was really gay, Darlene had married Mark, Becky had gotten pregnant and married David, etc.)--NOT just the last one.

I was talking about the 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM timeslot, which was not part of the marathon. They went straight from showing "Hoi Polloi Meets Hoiti Toiti" the previous night to showing "Home is Where the Afghan Is" last night -- no "Roseambo" in between there.

Well, I sure hope they're saving it for some sort of series finale marathon, because if I've just watched all 9 seasons of Roseanne every night for the past four months and I don't get to see the finale, I'm going to go nuts.

I should mention... N@N will also not show the series finale of "Full House" which is supposed to air next week along with "Roseanne". I think this signals a special sometime in the next couple of months with series finales. Nothing confirmed though.

Just wait... Oxygen will get there in a couple of months. They are currently in Season 6. That's one positive aspect to it being on multiple networks... if one channel skips it, there's always the other!

I bet it has to do something with the theme of the episode: terrosists holding people hostage, just like on 9/11. I have never seen the episode myself so I'm just assuming that after reading the synopsis for it.

You know... I didn't think about that. We are on high alert right now, and N@N may have skipped it for that reason. It was a bad episode anyway.

still, Nick should at least let fans vote. I was waiting for Roseambo just out of curiosity to see how bad it was, because I stopped watching by that point in 1996

Default I even emailed the goons

at Nik asking if they planned on showing it and never got a reply. Big suprise there! Chances are when they do "theme" back-to-back shows like that is that everyone who wants to see it will miss it because they don't know it's on. Very stupid scheduling on their part. I missed Darlene's birth episode too because they pulled this garbage.
