The scene between Archie and Gloria was very touching and moving. I love those tender moments between Sally Struthers and Carroll O'Connor. It seemed more real and genuine. My eyes welled up when Gloria sat on Archie's lap.

This is one of my very favorites, and please see my "quotes" thread because I recalled many from this one. There are many funny moments here....the best being this poignant one (loosely remembered!) from "Alistaire Cooke" or "Alice The Cook!" :
"In the best of times, our days are numbered anyway. And so it would be a crime against nature not to do the things for which we were designed the first place....the ability to do good work, enjoy friends, hit a ball.....and to bounce a baby..." Oh Archie! Ain't that beeeuuteeeful! What Gloria read!" Yeah....But I don't know what it has to do with cookin??
