Just found out this bit of sad news and thought I'd pass it along. she passed away yesterday at age 96.

I knew she was not well -- in Earl Hamner's recent "Waltons" book, he stated that he did not contact her for her reminiscences because she had been ill and he did not want to disturb her. It's pretty amazing to think that she was 90 when she last played Mamie in "A Walton Easter".

RIP, Helen -- you lit up every scene that you were in on "The Waltons". And we should all be so lucky to live to age 96!

I meant to correct my original post, Ms Kleeb passed away on dec 28th not the 31st as my source stated.

I remember watching that show when I was five or six and it is a good show and a good show the whole family could watch and there are not any good shows on these days!! Now they are filled with garbage!!
