Default New "NICK" Shows In 2004

I hate to be a worrier, but I remember some talk about NICK starting up some "new" series like "Who's The Boss?" and "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".....

Are these new series supposed to begin soon?....And will they affect the "Wings" "Double Feature" at 3 AM?

Maybe that means a "slight" cutback of the 14 hours a day of "The Cosby Show" that seems to be on every single time I turn it to Nick.

That would be great!

It seems that Roseanne might be become the nest Cosby Show for N@N though

I don't mind Roseann, but no show needs to be on more than an hour a day. A full hour of any show is more than enough. It's back-to-back episodes.

Maybe they could have more shows if they weren't airing the same 2 or 3 shows all day long.

I've noticed that Wings is doing a full hour at 3 am. I just love it. Is it permanent?

On another note, I miss 'Doctor, Doctor' (It was usually on after 'Wings' on USA... like you already don't know that).
I wish that TV Land or WE would pick up the series (on WE, it's REALLY time to replace 'Two Guys and a Girl'. I love the show, but I'm getting sick of it. Kind of like 'The Cosby Show').
Maybe N@N will get it.

Not only is Roseanne on N@N, but Oxygen and in syndie as well. I mean, I love the show, but I don't need to watch it THAT MUCH!
Oxy, make more space for AbFab and stop showing so much Roseanne.

Not anymore. Roseanne left TBS in September when it came to N@N/Oxygen. I never knew it aired on WGN.

Who's the Boss and Fresh Prince are coming to N@N next year. WTB is coming in March I think and FP in the Fall. I doubt, though, that you'll see a cutback of the Cosby Show. I do think they will take some shows off the air when the new shows come.

I remember a long time ago when Who's the Boss was originally in syndie when WLVI and WSBK used to be carried by our cable co. We saw it at least two or three times during the day. Now we see a similcast of King of the Hill on two local affiliates.

I wish my cable co. would pick up WGN. They seem to have a better selection of afternoon shows but cable can't have two superstations for some weird reason. It was a rule that they put in action a long time ago (some law, actually. Look it up on Google Groups).

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but "Full House" just doesn't seem to be making much of an impact on NICK.....

Say what you will about "Roseanne", but I think that we all have to admit that at least THAT show can qualify as a definite NICK "hit"....but "Full House" just seems to be getting lost in the shuffle.

When you stop to think about it, "Wings" is playing pretty much the same role on NICK that it played on NBC....Not a big, runaway hit, and not a "high profile" show, but a solid show that has a legion of loyal and devoted fans. (While it has the reputation of being "The Show That Followed CHEERS On Thursdays", "Wings" actually was bounced around quite a bit by NBC through the years.....and several times it was plugged into some pretty undesirable days and time slots. (Remember when it was on at 9 or 9:30 on Friday nights? What "non-TGIF" sitcoms do you know that were successful in THAT timeslot?)

ABC Family picked it up two months after Nick did.
It seems to be doing better on there. The only time I see it on Nick is during N@N and on Nick Sundays at 5:00 pm.
I think it's time for Nick to drop it.

I just checked it on the episode log....NBC moved "Wings" to 9:30 on Friday nights at the start of Season #2 ("The Puppetmaster" was the first Friday episode).
The show struggled in that timeslot (where it seemed to be the ONLY recognizable NBC sitcom on Fridays) until January of 1991, when it was moved to Thursdays at 9:30. (Just for the record, that first Thursday episode was "Airport '90").

I actually don't believe Full House or Roseanne belong on N@N. I mean, they premiered in the late 80s and lasted til the mid 90s(87-95 for FH, 88-97 for Roseanne). I think Full House fits better on ABC Family along with the other shows on that channel like Family Matters and Step By Step, all three of those shows belong there because they are too new for N@N.

You know, when you think about it, Wings doesn't belong on N@N. It premiered later than both Full House and Roseanne.

I think Full House is better for Nickelodeon or ABC Family. I wouldn't be surprised if N@N drops it soon, or pushes it into the wee hours of the morning.

I think Wings is actually a little too recent for N@N, but it is one of my favorites and I'm glad they're showing it, even if it is in a really crappy timeslot. Heck, MTV or LifeTime (my two least favorite networks) could pick up Wings and I'd watch
