Hi

I have found out something.

The first 5 discs of Columbia House I Love Lucys were test discs. (#1-4 and #8 for Paramount). Columbia wanted to see if there was enough interest in the series.

These first 5 discs were not closed-captioned or Spanish subtitled. But Columbia House is going to rerelease the first 5 discs and include the closed-captioning, etc. and I have heard they should be available by late Spring.

The rereleases will probably have the new cases so the dvds should all match. I have heard that it is probably unlikely that Paramount will rerelease these "new" discs but I hope they will so I don't have to have some discs that are Paramount and some that are Columbia.

Thanks for the info Alien.

As long as the cases look alike you should be fine.
