Default Worst Joke I ever Heard Today

This guy said that he doesn't want his son to watch Seasme Street No more because Bert and Ernie been living together too long and that means they are gay. POOR Comedy

Was the guy actually trying to make a joke? It'd be different if he was being serious- then he'd just be a stupid person, but making a joke like that...

I shouldn't- but, everytime in public I hear someone make a bad joke I feel embarassed for them- even if they don't feel embarassed (I always seem to care more about what a person is feeling than the person actually does). It's even worse when they laugh at their own joke and no one else does.
