Default "Night Court" Reunion

Ok people, its time for a reunion. Night Court will mark its 20th year on tv in 2004. I think it would be great. They need to bring back everyone including Liz(Paula Kelly) Lana(Karen Austin) Sheila (Gail Strickland) and Bille (Ellen Foley). It would be great to see everyone again.

I LOVED Night Court.

20 years, really?

Wow!

I've got Night Court tapes en route to me. I can't wait to sit and watch them. I think I haven't seen it since it left the air so many years ago.

On my left, I saw days upon days of lipstick and ticking clocks, dirty looks and quiet whisperings. And burning secrets that just won't ever die away. And on my right, what could I picture? The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

Out of curiousity, where did you get your Night Court tapes from? I've been looking forever to find a set but just can't find anyone who has them. I was a HUGE fan of the show years back and regret not taping any of them; I always check eBay regularly but can't find them. Anyone know of a reliable tape-trading club that would be willing to trade them? Thanks!

Back on subject, I would LOVE to see a reunion. I'm kinda curious as to what Richard Moll looks like now. I'll have to do a search on Google and see what I find.

If you watched the TV TALES special on Night Court, Richard Moll looks the same but has a full head of grey hair now.

I wish there was a reunion movie with the original cast. I want Harry and Christine to FINALLY get married!

Default A reunion

Sorry to burst everybody's bubble, but I don't think you'll ever see a reunion. There are a lot of reasons for this. One big one I can't mention. But the other reasons would stem from the fact that NBC probably wouldn't support one due to lack of audience (even though I'd LOVE to see a reunion) and the fact that NBC screwed "Night Court" in its unanticipated last season, the script would have to be outstanding in order to generate any interest in the cast member to do a TV movie (Although if Reinhold Weege had a hand in it, he probably could pen a script that appealed to everyone.) and I don't think you'd be able to assemble everyone even for a "stage" reunion.

I'd love a reunion episode, so we could all get some closure. However, I'm afraid the only reunion episodes we'll see are in fan fiction.

Maybe we should just start a campaign!

What's your "One Big One," and why can't you mention it??

Default Big reason

Okay, I know I just opened a can of worms here but I don't want to open it any further. The information that I know is not public knowledge (only a few people really know...including myself) and comes from excellent sources. It was something that I hadn't really known until it was told to me. Therefore, out of a respect and love for the show, its characters, and my sources, I'm afraid I'll have to take the fifth on this one and decline to divulge any information that I know. All I can say is that the "issue" at hand would most inhibit a reunion from probably ever happening unless it resolves itself in some way. Somehow though I just don't see that happening. Sorry!

This is one of my two favorite sitcoms of all time (WKRP is #1), so I am sad to hear that a reunion is extremely unlikely.

Based on your hedging (and I am just guessing here), it seems the information that you trying to avoid mentioning probably pertains to an intense (and active) personality conflict somewhere in cast and creative staff, or maybe an issue with one of the cast members that has been kept quiet (drugs, booze, or health), or even maybe some potential litigation.

I heard rumors of about a personality conflict years ago, so I figure that may be it.

I'll just be happy if the show ever comes out on DVD, at a reasonable price.
