Default What Are Your Favorite Ways to Watch Movies?

Guys,

What is your favorite way to watch movies and why? Please take my poll:

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE WAYS TO WATCH MOVIES?

1. Going to a movie theatre

2. Watching them on video tape or DVD

3. Ordering through Pay Per View

4. Ordering through I-Control (i.e I-control is offered on some cable systems. It's like PPV, except you have VCR-like control over the movie that you order for 24 hours on your box.)

5. Watching theatrical filmes on commercial TV. ( i.e I don't like the sex, language, violence so I don't watch the other versions)

6. Watching the movies on a Premium Movie Channel (i.e HBO, Showtime, Cinemax etc.)

7. Watching movies on a DVR or Tivo. (These are two devices that store up to 50 hours of programs on the terminal. You can create your own schedules, instant replays, do PIP on any telivision without the use of video tapes or DVD's!

Jack

Since I don't have some of these systems, I'll pick DVD because I like to put the subtitles on. I go to the theater sometimes but I usually end up getting irritated because somebody's kicking my seat, or TALKING or somebody's cellphone going off.

I like going to the theater. I mean, sure theres a alot of people and some are rude with their cellphones or them walking around to go to the bathroom or talking but i like seeing it on the big screen. Not to meantion if i wait for dvd it takes months for it to come out and i usually can't wait that long for some movies. Also, if its a comedy, theres something about people laughing-i love seeing how they react.

Jack
I selected dvds, and premium cable. With the surround speaker system, I have a theater-type experience watching dvds without having to be at a theater. And I prefer movies, music, etc as it was intended, with sex, etc. intact; editing out sex, violence and profanity waters it down too much for me.

DVD's and movies theatres. I only like theatres when there's not many people inside, other than that...dvd is the way to go. You can fast forward to scenes you love and they have all those bonus features.

I worked in a movie theater for over 6 years and since I don't get to see the new ones for free anymore, I wait till they come on DVD. Then I check them out of the library so I STILL get to see them for free!! Yes, I know I'm cheap.

I too enjoy watching my movies or TV shows with captions/subtitles and I can watch in the privacy of my own room without some moron yammering away on a cell phone or kicking my seat. Thank goodness for DVDs!!

I love seeing movies at the theater. It's fun to get together with friends, get some popcorn and candy, and watch it on the big screen. Plus, it's great to have someone to talk to during previews or afterwards when the film ends!
