Maybe I should rephrase that... when it's after 10 or 11pm and everyone is asleep but me. I couldn't watch it a few weeks ago at 1am because it was too scary.

For me the scariest part is to see those creepy re-enactments and stories and knowing they really happened.

And dont forget the sketches and age progression photos

I think the scariest thing I've ever seen on UM, was a composite drawing of a man caught on tape who murdered a store clerk in Los Angeles. The images the camera captured were not the greatest so the artist did the best he could. If you guys ever seen it you'd remember the eyes. *quivers*

Was that from the segment about the computer program that helped police in getting clues from security videotape? If so, I saw that case just two weeks ago. And I agree, those eyes..... and he's still out there.

Red face

Sometimes when they show a picture of a murder victim I get just horrified. Last Saturday Night's episode had this spooky picture of Donna Badillo(sp?) where her apartment was set on fire, anyway, that picture of her was very spooky and they showed it several times. I guess it was so scary because it was 1am in the morning.

I can't think of anything about UM that ISN'T scary. I even find that white, sans sarif type they use during the closing credits and throughout the show when they're identifying the speaker to be creepy. That was during the earlier seasons. Now the type isn't as bad.

When UM aired on NBC, the person who said the, "This program is about unsolved mysteries. Whenever possible, the actual family members and police officials have participated in recreating the events. What you are about to see is not a news broadcast" was a man's voice, wasn't it? His voice was creepy too. Not nearly as creepy as Robert Stack's, but still. The woman's voice on Lifetime, while definitely not soothing, isn't as scary.
