I was watching the show today and it struck me that who would've thought back in the day that the only person still appearing regularly on network television out of the whole cast would be Sarah Chalke? None of the cast seemed to live up to their potential in the years post-Roseanne, especially with the sad case of Glenn Quinn. Anyone agree/disagree?

Sara Gilbert and John Goodman have done okay since the show ended, neither became superstars, but both are reliable character actors.
Michael Fishman, if I recall correctly, went to college and got married and had a son at a really young age. He had a blink-and-you-missed part in Artificial Inteligence. Johnny Galecki has appeared in a few bit parts in movies, Vanilla Sky and Bounce (where he played Ben Affleck's gay assistant) come to mind. Lecy Goranson got rave reviews for her role in Boys Don't Cry, but I haven't seen her in anything since. Glenn Quinn could've been a breakout star if it wasn't for his tragic demons. He appeared on 10 episodes of Angel that made him a cult favorite, however his growing drug addiction led to his dismissal from the series. |

I remember Michael Fishman being a regular on Roseanne's talk show towards the end which seemed like a pity move.
I agree about John Goodman although it's nothing he hadn't been doing already during Roseanne. Laurie Metcalf is the biggest question mark for me, I assume she's focussing on raising her family...? |

It's funny when I watch SCRUBS and see Dr. Elliot I dont think of her as Becky, I think of her as Elliot. But when I would watch BOYS DONT CRY I would think of Lecy's character (can't think of her name right now) as Becky. Sarah was NEVER Becky to me. I'm glad to see her having success though on SCRUBS. |

Maybe it's because you saw Lecy play becky for longer but I don't think Candace is a million miles away from Becky anyway |
