Default OK it's Confirmed, Christmas Eve is the Worst Night of the Year for Watching

TV!. There has not been anything on Cable all evening. No Christmas Specials or Moves like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I just would like to know WHY????????? I can't take it.

The only thing on is the Christmas Story on TNT. They're having a 24 hour marathon.

Well, many folks aren't watching TV tonight. They are either preparing for tomorrow or are partying. So the TV stations don't bother with much special programming; they figure that the viewship numbers are going to be much lower than normal.

My cable is on the fritz anyway, making many of my channels not available, so I'm kind of glad they're not showing much. So I don't need to be angry and frustrated by the message I get: This channel will be available shortly. But of course, it never tunes in.

I had plenty to watch last night. My daughter and I watched Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas.

ABC had sitcoms, CBS showed King of Queens, Roseanne etc was on Nick at Nite. So they weren't Christmas specials but there was lots on.

I also have the National Lampoons Christmas movie. If you want to watch Chritsmas movies on Christmas eve you should buy a couple and have them on hand so when there is nothing on...you can already have them.

On my left, I saw days upon days of lipstick and ticking clocks, dirty looks and quiet whisperings. And burning secrets that just won't ever die away. And on my right, what could I picture? The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

I agree. It's best National Lampoon movie and with A Christmas Story it's the best Chrsitmas movie ever.

For kids best one is Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas.

SA --

Maybe instead of being so freakin concerned about TV on Christmas Eve, why don't you spend time with your family or friends? Don't sit around and watch TV all night long -- go do something nice for someone instead. Video stores have those movies all year long. Get over it.

Merry Christmas.

The best thing to do is just buy the movies that you really like, that way you can watch them whenever you want and don't have to worry about commercials and stuff being edited out.
