I was watching the Christmas episode Sunday night, and I thought, "Good Grief! Cindy is sweeter than the candy canes on the Christmas tree!" This episode should have come with a warning for diabetics!

That is my favorite Brady Bunch episode ever. I had not seen that particular episode in many and I mean many years. My 8 year old watched it for the first time and loved it.

Yeah, this was a great Christmas episode! Florence had a lovely singing voice - they should have found a way to have her do more singing in the episodes...
I especially loved the Brady's wrapping paper - late '60s Christmas wrapping paper was wild - every color in the rainbow! Happy Holidays! |

"The Voice of Christmas" episode is wonderful and Susan Olsen is great in this one. There are so many great parts in this story.. Mike taking Cindy to see Santa,I especially love the scene where Alice talks to the children about it being their first Christmas together as a blended family and I just love Florence Henderson's singing and the great scene where she is worrying about getting her Christmas cards out. A truly great Brady episode

How pathetic am I, that I cry every time Alice makes that nice speech to the kids.... but it gets me every single time.
Oh, the shame.... shame

Nothing wrong with that at all!!! Should be more of it in this present world. But you wont get many moments like that on "modern television"

Thanks, Novarro, for your kind words. And what you say is VERY true... which is why I don't watch any current sitcoms, nor dramas. They're all sub-par. I prefer the classic shows by a mile, and any of the forensic, medical, or cop shows. Thank God for cable TV!!!!!

I agree. Current tv keeps getting worse and worse. And the whole "Reality TV" craze seems to keep pushing the envelope further and further. I couldn't even tell you any of the sitcoms that are currently on TV. I stick to the classic television shows like Andy Griffith, Bewitched, Green Acres, Sanford and Son, Taxi, etc. I can't wait for Carol Burnett to begin airing on TV Land.

Add my vote to all of yours. I would much rather sit and watch something I can feel relaxed about and not have to be uncomfortable with the content.

Yes I agree totally with everything thats been said too. I love Bewitched, The Patty Duke Show, Hazel, Beverly Hillbillies, Munsters, The Flying Nun all the great classic shows of the '60's that had a heart to them. Today's efforts are definately sub par despite being supposedly "more realistic" which I never understand as its television after all!!

Don't even GET met started about those disgusting "reality" shows. I can't even begin to express how much I loathe every last one of them. Anyone over the age of 10 years old who would even CONSIDER appearing on one of those shows is either disturbed or simply pathetic. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl and my blood boil. Sorry to get so hot under the collar. SO GLAD IT'S FRIDAY! Have a great weekend, everybody!!!!
