At the start of the show he was 13 (born 1976) but he looked like 18!!! I think it must be the height.

In one episode I learned that Eddie's birth date was January 28, 1974. Darius McCrary, who played Eddie, was born May 1, 1976, so they probably aged him somewhat.

That's not uncommon to use actors on their looks and not their actual age. That Monkhouse chick was well in her 20's playing a high school kid after Urkel!

She played she was around age 20 in the Cosby show dating Theo then she comes along and plays Steve Urkles girlfriend and age 18 again, when she played on the Cosby show in 1989-1990 or something like that.

Believe it or not, Kellie Williams is really older than Darius McCrary.

And despite being Harriet's younger sister, Thelma Hopkins is older than JoMarie Payton.

interesting.... It's like on 7th Heaven, where Lucy is Mary's younger sister on the show, but in real life Beverly Mitchell is a year older than Jessica Biel.

The guy who played Drew Carey's(John Carroll Lynch) older Steve Crey brother is actually 5 years younger than Drew Carey in real life.

John Carroll Lynch was born in 1963(suposed to be older)
Drew Carey was born in 1958
Diedrich Bader born 1966(suposed to be same age)
Christa Miller Lawarance born in 1964(suposed to be same age)
Kathy Kinney born 1954(Suposed to be same age)
Craig Ferguson born 1962(supposed to be older than Drew)

The guy who play Oswald(Diedrich Bader) on the Drew Carey show was 8 years younger than Drew yet he is supposed to be the same age.

Anson Williams who played Potsie Webber and the Donnie Most who played Ralph Mouth were actually older than Ron Howard.

On one of the Drew Carey shows, they talked about themselves being 40. I knew there was no way 'Kate' was 40. You can tell she's younger than Drew.

Both. According to IMDB, Eddie is 6'3" and Carl is 5'8". I am not sure how accurate IMDB is because Sasha Mitchell is also listed as 6'3" and he looks quite a bit taller than Eddie. Either Eddie is 6'1" or Sasha is 6'5".
