“YMCA” -- After discovering that her family is turning into a bunch of couch potatoes, Cate orders Kerry, Rory and Jim to join the local YMCA, where Bridget has been working as a lifeguard. But the idea of getting a good workout goes out the window when Rory signs up for a yoga class – which is taught by sexy
instructor Holly (Lisa Rinna, “Melrose Place,” co-host of “Soap Talk”) -- and finds it hard to concentrate while surrounded by beautiful women; Jim punches a man for making a lascivious remark about Bridget; Bridget turns all of her little blonde swimming students into “mini-Bridgets”; and Kerry finds her own “mini-Kerry” to commiserate with. Ethan Phillips (Neelix on “Star Trek: Voyager”) also guest stars as Dave -- a YMCA member who tries to befriend Jim -- on “8 Simple Rules,” TUESDAY, JANUARY 6 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

“8 Simple Rules” stars Katey Sagal as Cate Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy Davidson as Kerry Hennessy and Martin Spanjers as Rory Hennessy.

Guest starring are James Garner as Jim, Lisa Rinna as Holly, Carl Weintraub as Joe, Ethan Phillips as Dave, Alanna Dedek as Lily, Gennelle Dedek as Kelly, Allison Andreas as Sarah, Talia-Lynn Prairie as Gayle, Will Schaub as Vic and Myrna Niles as Hattie.

“YMCA” was written by Donald Beck & Bonnie Kallman and directed by James Widdoes.

”8 Simple Rules” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1- channel surround sound.
