This is for those of us who grew up on the Facts of Life in the 80's. I was just wondering if anybody else feels old sometimes when a show comes on with a special guest star that was big back then and the younger people who are only just now watching it for the first time have no idea who they are? I have faced this alot and my friends and I have been laughing about this alot because I can remember watching old black and white shows with my parents and asking them who a person is and they just look at me like, "You don't know them." Now it is happening to me. Just curious if anybody else is feeling old.

Absolutely. The way I see it is that N@N has always been a cable channel that basically plays "classic" reruns; so when N@N starts playing the shows from your generation- you know you're getting older!

You're not alone..... I feel very old when I watch this show sometimes. I was chatting with a member of this board a couple of weeks ago, and she mentioned that one of the outfits the girls was wearing in a recent episode was "old school". I thought, hey, wait a second.... I had that same outfit - does that make me old school too? I feel old

Every time I'm on this website I feel old. It seems like almost everyone here is under the age of 18. That is not a bad thing, it just makes me feel over the hill. I mean, when everyone is talking about the outdated clothes and hair on the show, I'm remembering when I used to look like that. All through highschool and part of college my hair looked exactly like Jo's in the last season. Believe me, it is not easy to take care of that much hair, and it really weighs you down when it gets wet! HaHaHa!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm 32 and I grew up watching FOL-- I was happy when N@N brought it on (and now DS, too) but when I think they were on 20 years ago (early seasons)! I can actually remember seeing them on for the first time back then! YIKES!

I'm just 14 (almost 15), but I feel old sometimes (me being around during the show's last couple of years and all)
