That stupid station has done it for the last time. Nick released about a month ago that on July 5, they would be airing the episode from 1985 where Sam gets kidnapped as part of their theme of 2 part stories. As expected, Nick has taken this 2-part story off of their line-up, once again not delivering to their viewers. Nick has been very screwy the past couple of years, but it has been gotton to the point of just tuning off Nick. However, I have a better solution. I will e-mail Nick right now and really tell them off. Everyone should do the same. This stupidity must stop. If we all complain, maybe they will finally get the message and start airing shows properly. Maybe last year, Nick got a new program manager and thus, don't care what the viewers want to see. Instead we get on July 5th, all the shows we have seen since Diff'rent Strokes begin airing in March. Bank Job, Hello Larry, and Drummond gets Amnesia have already aired on Nick. I can think of 3 2-part stories we haven't seen yet. Maybe 4. Let's see. We still haven't seen the 2 part abdoption episode where Arnold and Willis are offically sons of Phillip Drummond. The Hitchhiking Episodes, The Bicycle Man, Sam getting kidnapped. There's also another 2-part story of Hello Larry and some 2 parters on Willis getting beat up by a gang! The point: Nick should have chosen three of these I listed to continue with fresh viewing. If NBC can air the Bicycle Man and my local syndication channel, than Nick can too!

In the words of Willis Jackson: "Say what?"
But alas, I just don't have it in me to write to N@N. It doesn't seem to do any good anymore. I mean, come on- look at how high their ratings were for FOL, and yet they chose not to include FOL at all during any of their time slots this summer. Talk about being stupid....... |

I agree with you I have noticed recenly that Nick at Nite seems to like playing the same episodes over and over again. The one I would love to see is the one where Willis and Arnald are offically adopted by Mr. Drummand. I would also like to see the one where Willis and Arnald want to change their last name to Drummand, for their dads birthday.

Those a-holes! Unbelievable! They still had the Sam kidnapping episode on their program schedule as of last night. But then I saw this thread, and I went back and sure enough it is now changed to the stupid Hello Larry 2-parter! AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH! Nick at Nite SUCKS! What is this f-in policy they have on not playing ANY controversial episodes of Diff'rent Strokes?!?!?! They play "All in The Family" -- that whole SERIES was controversial! Nick At Nite is a disgrace.

I can't take anymore of this N@N *********. (Sorry guys for the profanity, can we cuss in here?) Geez! This show was meant for everyone of all ages. Just show all the episodes and then replay all of them when you get to the last one. I don't understand why they can't do that!! About emailing N@N, I would do it but, I'm afraid they might get annoyed and not play DS at all. The FOL board were talking about emailing them too but are also afraid of them canceling the show.

Nick-At-Nite apparently have dropped their e-mail address and can only write to them through regular mail only. TV Land still has their e-mail address and so I e-mailed them about the change of DS and their programming manager, about how he is rerunning the same episodes over and over again. Their response was we apolyze for not airing the Alfred Hitchcock marathan a couple of weeks ago. All In The Family was shown due to Carroll O'Connor's death. They are obviously not reading the mail which is done by computer in giving those responses and the issue they responded pertained to TV Land and not Nick. I give up! I just wish Nick would hire better programming managers that know what they are doing!

I went to TV Land.com and the website manager stated that Nick-At-Nite does not have an e-mail address anymore so if you want to make suggestions, comments, etc., we would have to do it the old fashion way. I forgot the address, but if you go to tvland.com, it is posted under write to us section.

1st off cursing is not generally recommended as some children probably come to the site. Amen )
Speaking of the kiddies the way I look at it Nik at Nite should take ALL their cartoons like P&TB, etc as well as All That, etc & have a Kid Nik channel. Leave the regular channel for sitcoms. They're straddling the fence on whether they want to appeal to the kiddies/teens demographic (Nik Toons) or the adults (with the Sit Coms) & generally Nickelodian is for kids. Nik at Nite's a part of that as is TV Land? (I don't get it on cable yet). Yep definitely catered to kids; however, they're moving towards adult programs especially in the 80s like Cheers, Diff'rent Strokes, like that. So I think they need to prederange (as Archie would say) their lineup to enhance the ratings for kids & adults, teens, etc. Right now the way they got it: 1: Certain "controversial" eppies in Facts of Life & Diff'rent Strokes are skipped as of now. But yet All in the Family, a controversy Each Show is shown along w/the Jeffersons which has adult situations (I've heard the N word on Nik at Nite during the Jeffersons). Confusion 2: Shows are Always edited for addies, etc. IMO logos, pop ups, voiceovers are not the end of the world Unless it interferes with your TV watching (Not counting individual preference of course). For example TNN ran eps like Wonder Years a while back w/a black line at the bottom of the screen that cut off a portion of the picture. Finally I think they could cut back on the ads except for one thing: 3: Money Cometh! ------------------ Riches & Glory are in the vow of faith! Send a check or money order for at least $1000, preferably to my account in Zurich; I have a ski lodge up there! |

Can somebody please explain something to me? N @ N is worried about showing all the controversial episodes of tv shows, but on MTV or something you see these slutty singers stripping. Kids WATCH MTV. What would they rather see, kids learning lessons from these controversial episodes or learning to be a stripper???? Thanks for clearing me up.
