Question Mystery Episode?

Yesterday I came across a script of the Facts of Life entitled "The Facts of Life Goes to Venice." Does anyone have any information on this? Was it an episode that didn't air? I think it was supposed to be a tv movie like the Facts of Life Goes to Paris and Facts of Life Goes Down Under. I'm not sure if it was tapped and just not aired or if it wasn't even filmed. I'm curious if anyone has any info.

I don't think that anything like that ever happened, and really even doubt that any scripts were handed out. If they did another TV movie, they'd have to of had 4 extra episodes. I haven't heard of it, but I could be wrong.

What do you mean script? Do you mean a script/collectible paper type that are listed on eBay sometimes or text of an episode?

The script is the actual text of an episode. It shows what lines the actors say. It's what the actors use to memorize their lines. I haven't seen Ebay list too many of these. Usually collectors/stores will have original ones and make photocopies to sell.

I'm still not following you. Is it text online or on paper like a photocopy? When they did about 22 episodes a season, they would probably buy 30-40 scripts and then choose from those which ones to actually produce.

What year is listed on the front of the script? Perhaps they were going to shoot another movie between Paris and Australia, I guess only a cast or crew member would know for sure.

I believe it said 1986 but I'm not 100% sure. I glanced at it briefly. I'm thinking of purchasing it and when I find out more info I'll let you know. Maybe they were going to shoot this but changed their minds and did the Australia one instead. Who knows?

Blairfan, what site did you see this script on? Because a couple of weeks ago I posted a link to a site with scripts, and I also saw that script listed. The scripts on the site were photocopies of the original versions. Maybe they just got the title wrong in the listing.

I didn't see it on a website. I saw it in a store on Hollywood Blvd. They sell tv and movie scripts. I asked to see what they had on Facts of Life and the man brought out quite a few scripts. One of them was the Venice script. I thought it was wierd, cuz I'd never heard of it before.

I remember reading that an Italy movie was proposed, but there was a lot of fear about terrorism in Europe at the time, so they decided to do a movie in Australia instead. Out of curiousity, are there any plot similarities in the "Venice" script to the "Down Under" movie?
