We do 'pan-and-scanning at our company. It's hard to believe a lot of people complain that wide-screen movies are chopped, when they are released to home video.

Why do you find that hard to believe? There are a lot of people, myself included, who can't stand watching movies in "pan and scan."

I can't stand watching "pan and scanned" movies either. You misread my post.

widescreen rules. I don't see how any self-respecting fan of cinema would watch a movie like Lord Of The Rings or Star Wars in pan-and-scan when they have the option of widescreen
