Question What kind of show was it?

Hi!

Does anyone know where these (attached) pictures of Lauren Lane and Daniel Davis were taken? What kind of show were they hosting? And when and where did the show take place? If anyone know anything about it please let me know!

That pic was from the All-American Thanksgiving Day Parade from November of 97. They were one of the hosts. Hope that helps.

Talking

Yep! That helps! Thanks! I was curious because of the Hawaiian outfits! Do you know if Lauren Lane and Daniel Davis hosted their parts together? *curious*

Eeek! Cool! Yes, that's a cute picture of them! Thanks for posting!! I would love to see that show! I imagine it was funny! In any case it looks as if they had fun. You don't have more pictures from this show, do you?

Post The Nanny Zone Link

Thanks for the link. I have visited Laura's Nanny Zone before but unfortunately it's often down and many links are broken. (Like on many other Nanny sites, too ) I guess the site about Lauren Lane's and Daniel Davis' Thanksgiving show is lost forever. Too bad! I would have liked to learn more about it. Nevertheless The Nanny Zone is a very nice site. It would be fun to see more pictures of LL & DD. Did they hosted other shows or appeared on other talk shows or something like that? I saw some pictures on the Nanny webpages. Does anybody know more about their guest appearances?

Default The Hawaiian Parade

Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane together hosted the Aloha parade in Hawaii in 1997. They did it in conjunction with other CBS stars who were hosting other parades. Like Gregory Hines and Christine Baranski hosted the Macy's Day Parade and there were a few other celebs hosting other parades and the program would go back and forth between parades.

It was pretty cute. Lauren Lane was pregnant at the time and Daniel Davis 'outed' her to the tv audience. I would take more snaps of the parade for you, but I don't have the means to do that anymore, sorry. But the pictures posted really cover it well. During the telecast they introduced the floats, bands, etc... typical parade stuff. And at one point Daniel Davis introduced Charo who led a song and congo dance. But as the camera left Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane to show Charo, you can distinctly hear Lauren Lane saying, "Cootchie-Cootchie!", which is a phrase that Charo made famous.

Another funny thing was how Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane made a point to say a few times how much they love hosting the parade in Hawaii and not the one in New York. There they were in sunglasses, aloha shirts, and big grins then the camera goes to a shivering Gregory Hines and Christine Baranski, lol.

Lightbulb The Hawaiian Parade

Oh! Wow! Thanks for the details! That's very interesting to know! You are lucky that you have been able to watch the parade! And thanks for pointing out why Lauren Lane and Daniel Davis wear the Hawaiian shirts! Now it makes sense. Not being from the US I'm not familiar with the Thanksgiving traditions, parades and broadcasting ways and so on so I'm glad you explained more about how they switch from one parade to the other and so one.

I'd love to see some more videocaps of the parade of course but I can see that it would be work so I'm ok with it. I guess The Nanny Zone had a couple of pictures but this part of the site is gone. Nevertheless I'm happy to know that the pictures we have here are already covering it. I was curious about the pictures because it's definitely an unusual appearance for both actors, isn't it? They look as if they had fun...

"Lauren Lane was pregnant at the time and Daniel Davis 'outed' her to the tv audience." Oh! That's cute! What did he say? (And what did she answer? ) *curious*

Did they had a lot on-screen time?

I'm sure Lauren Lane and Daniel Davis were happy to be in warm Hawaii than being in cold New York! I'd prefer that, too! lol

CU later!
