Post Shoplifting (FOL Pick of the Day)

This is a great episode i think... I LOVE how mrs. garrett is just like.. bless your heart! (haha) did you see that the guy who arrested mrs. g at harrisson's was also the guy Ted Medcaf who almost got married to mrs. g in seasons 6?? and also the bitchy sales lady was the teacher who held the play in Green Eyed Monster... it is really odd that she suddenly became a teacher in the next season and it's weird how mrs. g never realized that it was Ted, her old high school sweet heart who was arresting her! I thought blair was kinda bitchy in this episode too.. she was all like saying how she'd get the better gift and then mrs. g wanted to return it and get somethign else! oh.. and guess what else!! That Gucci bag that blair gave mrs. g was Lisa's bag... i have a poloroid of lisa in her dressing room and that SAME hand bag is behind her with her coat on it when she was about to leave... that's a smart thing to do, use their REAL belongings in the show... haha... anybody have anythign else to add to this episode?

Thumbs up

I'd say you just about covered it all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this just one of two shows that Mrs. G has to go to the police station to answer question because of something one of the girls has done. The only other one I can think of is when they open up Over Our Heads and Mrs. G has to go downtown to answer questions about the clothes that Blair got.

I don't know if this counts but what about when she had to go to the station and get the girls out in New Girl 1&2 for stealing the school van, faking IDs,and going into the bar??

The saleslady and the teacher both played by Hazel Shermet were two different characters.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to finely read something by someone else who brought up the topic of Hazel Shermet! I have been all over this board trying to stimulate some conversation about her! I usually have no success and most of the times that someone has responded it has been in a negative manner. I am crazy about Hazel Shermet! Although I thought that both of the roles that she played on this series were very hotsy totsy, the times that I really thought that she outdid herself were when she played three different ladies on three different episodes of "Gimme a Break!". And to think that she was already in her sixties when all of these episodes were made! Anyone who is interested in her can go over to "Youtube" and find an interview of her. She was eighty when this interview was conducted and I thought that she was nothing to sneeze at then! I used to discribe her as my favorite actress who is an older woman. However, as time goes on, a lot of the babes that I admire have had birthdays past forty! Because of this, I have changed what I post. At this stage in the game, my favorite actress who is in her later years now is Helen Hunt (who also appeared on this series) and my favorite actress who was already old when I first started to admire her is Hazel Shermet!

I am bringing this thread to the top of the page because the lady mentioned in this quote is related the the topics raised in the other two posts at the top. I figure that if all three of them are near the top, some renewed interest might be sparked!

About twelve hours ago, I posted a message on the "Mad About You" page of this site and called it "Sylvia's Butt Part II". The Sylvia that I was referring to in that post is Paul's mother from that series. In my opinion, she has a rear that is very sexy, especially in designer jeans! Wow! The actress that played her part was Cynthia Harris. I would say that, just like Hazel Shermet, she looked hot in her later years! Another way that this ties in with "Facts of Life" is that just like with this show, there are negotiations for a fourth season DVD of that series to be released! Both potential DVDs are things that I am really looking forward to! Before signing off, I would like to let you guys in on a play on words that I have shared with people all over this site. I am not sure if I ever used it on this page, but if I have, it is pushed way down to the bottom. I would say that, on "Mad About You" Jamie and Fran were hot stuff and Lisa and Sylvia were not far "behind"!
