Keeping Up Appearances Xmas Episode

Hyacinth tries to, among other things, get Richard to play Father Christmas at a parish Christmas party, keep her father from getting into trouble at the same party, arrange a "Boxing Day candlelight supper," and invite Richard's boss and his wife for "mulled wine and hot mince pies." But Richard gets pissed (drunk, as we say in the Colonies), Elizabeth tries to play Father Christmas for him, Hyacinth tries to keep her poorer relations out of sight and out of mind, and. . . well, you ought to see it yourself! This is a very funny episode!

Channel 21 in New York just showed it.

I don't really get out a lot. When I do go out, I couldn't be happier. I love being in a nice milieu. I'm as happy as a clam. Just as long as I'm not in some club playing hip-hop. You hear that sort of thing in a lot of places. That's not my milieu. Rock and roll is good-time music. I love rock. So did my parents.
