ABC's Multiple Emmy Award-Winning Drama, "The Practice

Betty White ("Golden Girls," "Mary Tyler Moore") will guest-star in an upcoming three-episode arc on the ABC Television Network's hit drama, "The Practice." White will play Carol Piper, a nosy neighbor from Alan Shore's hometown, where he has returned to defend a childhood friend accused of murder. The three episodes in which White will guest-star, the first of which is entitled "Going Home," have not yet been assigned airdates.

The multiple Emmy Award-winning series from renowned writer/producer David E. Kelley is now in its eighth season. "The Practice" has earned, in addition to its Emmys, a Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Series, a Peabody Award, a Viewers for Quality Television Award and an American Bar Association Silver Gavel Award, among many others.

"The Practice" stars Michael Badalucco as Jimmy Berluti, Jessica Capshaw as Jamie Stringer, Steve Harris as Eugene Young, Camryn Manheim as Ellenor Frutt, Rhona Mitra as Tara Wilson, and James Spader as Alan Shore.

"The Practice" was created by David E. Kelley. Mr. Kelley and Robert Breech are executive producers. The series, which premiered on March 4, 1997, is produced by David E. Kelley Productions in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television.

The series is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.

I hope she plays a dramatic role... we don't get to see her do that often enough.

Her character on The Practice last week was somethin else. She was a a**hole on there hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. James Spader couldn't stand her. Last week's episode said to be continued at the end so Betty will be on there this week again.

Hahaha, she was hillarious. I don't like "The Practice" that much except for Alan (Or Allen?), but some of my family members do so, and I caught Betty; funny stuff...

Betty was interviewed at the TV Land Awards, which taped last night and will air on March 17 on TV Land, she said she just did three episodes of The Practice, and now she is working on three more series for guest shots: Malcolm in the Middle, My Wife & Kids, and Everwood.
