Dolce far niente, Carissima!

Today, I went to Amazon.com to see if season 3 is yet available for pre-order (it is not.) While there, I began reading customer reviews of season 1. In the first review the person described Laura Petrie as the first MILF. So I ask you, what is a MILF? I've been sitting here trying to figure it out, but I am stumped. Anyone know? Thanks,
Lolac

Some good news, I guess. Both DeepDiscountDVD ($ 51.19, w/free shipping) and DVDPlanet ($48.97, but that's without shipping) have the set up for pre-order. As for what MILF stands for, I'm clueless. My best guess for the last two letters would be something like "Love" & "Fantasy", but I may be way off on that (although Steve would probably agree with that definition ).B&W "how about 'my intense love fantasy'?" fan |

MILF stands for Mom I'd Like to F---.
I'm not making this up. Just thought you'd like to know. |

You wouldn't want to ask that question in polite company. It's not my phrase, so don't think I'm some sort of perv!!! |

I think this phrase had a much more innocent beginning. It was originally Mom I'd Like to Kiss, or MILK. Then some dumbbell changed it. The new acronym is not only vulgar, it doesn't even make sense!

Lolac,
I share your dissappointment. I know what that frase means. Most men do who assosiate with various kinds of people. Frankly, I'm glad someone else answered the question, because I wouldn't have wanted to. I've known from I child that Laura was beautiful and charming, and even alluring in ways, but I've frankly always thought of her as ours to admire, but Rob's to have. Although I'm no saint, it just seems to work better for me that way. Steve |

A phrase like that has been thrown around for years. Try and be nice to people who actually try and help you. I could imagine if you asked what a MILF is at a Christmas party. |

I had never heard the phrase until I watched American Pie. After that there were many lessons learned. |

).Kinda like "Mrs.Robinson" (think Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft in "THE GRADUATE" if she'd been a mom). There's a song called "Stacey's Mom" by New York group Fountains of Wayne on the album "WELCOME INTERSTATE MANAGERS"(on Virgin Records)(website:www.fountainsofwayne.com ) if you're interested in more songs (and more on the novelty side) about MILFs..
