Default Things Boxes

I know this might sound CRAZY but when I was a little kid watching the show, I was obsessed by Thing's boxes!
I thought they were so neat and "chic" I guess!
So compact and they were all designed differently BUT were all on the same principle!
And the way they seemed to lead into an entirly different realm and seemed to be bottumless.

When I was little I copied the boxes out of old shoe boxes and kleenex boxes and decorated them like the Things and set the througout the house, My mom didn't like it so well but oh well!

Is there possibly at least one person out there, besides me, who was facinated by them and noticed them for more than just another prop?
Which was your favorite one?

I loved the boxes too, it was almost a shame they lost the boxes in the movies. I always wondered how Ted Cassidy crouched under tables to do those scenes, also there would have to be a hole in the table to make it work. The boxes would move around the house too. Pretty mysterious.....my favorite was the light colored one with the fancy trim, it looked a little feminine, but thing pulled it off well. Lady fingers used that box too.

Default Box Replicas

That box you're talking about that Lady Fingers was in I only remember Thing being it that one once, in Addams CumLaude they were at school There is a pretty red flowerdy one, On did you see the remake of that episode? The hands WERE in boxes BUT they were NOT the same as the old show they looked more "modern". I like Thing better in the box he was more mysterious, thatn being just a hand! B/C you always wondered what he was on the other side of the box.

I actually got to see the boxes in COLOR! So I made replicas of them, and they look really good!
I also noticed that they seemed to "appear" and "disappear" throughout the house. And you never seemed to see them unless Thing was using them.

OK its time for a "Thing's Boxes" Trivia

1. Which box was Thing in the most? Describe it. It's the one I immediatly think of when I think of Thing. It's his main box.

2.Which 3 boxes do you occasionally see just sitting around even if Thing NEVER comes out of them. (describe)

3.Which 2 boxes are the rarest boxest (the ones you see the least of)

Default Thing's boxes

This is a little weird, but I read in The Addams Chronicles that Ted Cassidy got 2 keep 1 of the boxes & he left it 2 Jackie Coogan's son after he died 7 that box was sold at Chrisite's in NY a few years ago for like $6, 000.
