I'm not into much modern music at all, but it seems that modern artists take alot of breaks in making new songs.It seems artists in the 50s and before made a bunch of records each year.Now it seems like artists make release around twelve songs a year?Is this correct?

Most artists release 1 album a year. Some release 1 every 2 years. And there's like, I think, 4-6 songs off a album that go to the radio.

Radios should play more than that on a album to keep an artist more heard for the fans of those artists and so there can be new fans.Also musicians should make more than album a year to keep their popularity on top more often.
