at another board, someone mentioned this, and it makes sense. i actually thought about it back 2 years ago, when i did a project on Nickeldeon... so here it goes.
In the early 90s, they were building the Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando. At the time, they were taping a lot of shows all over the country. I believe either Hey Dude or SYS was taped in Arizona... i cant remember which one was taped there though, but one of them was. They didnt wanna continue taping elsewhere, because it was expensive. So they cancelled it. They couldnt really put SYS in a studio, because it's obvious that they taped it outside. So this led to the cancellation SYS and Hey Dude. If you notice, a lot of other shows ended during the same time. Also, I think Double Dare was affected. It was taped in Philadelphia, but they managed to move it down to Orlando. That's why suddenly in one of the seasons, there's a big set change. I might be wrong though. But i think this is part of the reason why. |

oh and i just read the "why was SYS cancelled" thread, and somebody mentioned "Fifteen". Im sure "Fifteen" didnt get higher ratings.... so that just brings up the point of the new studio. They could easily put "Fifteen" in one of the studios in Orlando. They couldnt with SYS.

![]() To answer your question; I would recommend visiting Nick Nostalgia, this site lists (complete with detailed information) just about every series that ran on Nickelodeon during its golden years. |
