TCM showed the classic sci-fi movie The Time Machine starring Rod Taylor and Alan Young. For today's audiences it might be kind of hokey, but it's quite a spectacular movie. Both Taylor and Young and excellent in their roles.

Oh I love that movie. I like the several parts that Alan played. The first half I thought was well done. The last half was fair. There are several lines that make you think. "What books would you take into the future or back in time". The movie has a bit of warmth with the characters. I didn't see the latest version done about 2-3 years ago. The 1970's tv version wasn;t much.

I had no interest in the version just released a couple of years ago. The first parts, where George introduces the time machine to a skeptical crowd, and where he travels and stops a couple twice(encountering Filby's son twice on his journey) are the best parts. The last part between the Eloi and the Morlocks got a bit hokey.

Actually, he is in both versions. Both the original and the remake. In the remake, he has a small part as the florist in the flower shop in New York City.

I knew he had part in the new one. If it's ever on cable maybe I'll catch it.
