Default Tanner House Floor Plan

Well, I was gonna throw together a quick floor plan to demonstrate the layout of the house. After I got started reviewing episodes, I realized there's a lot that most people probably don't notice. I even found an unknown hallway!

So, instead of throwing together some quick piece of nothing, I've decided to do an in-depth floor plan for the whole house. This may take up to a week but I promise you guys are gonna like it.

Keep checking back!

In Peace,

OK, I've run into quite a snag here.

The layout of the sets used for filming don't add up to the view from the outside of the house. At least not totally. The first floor and attic are right on, but that's it.

Next time you see the house on TV, check it out. There's a bay window on the second floor just above the one on the first floor. That should either have been in DJ's or Joey's room (speaking from 8th season stand-point). Yet, neither room has a window that big.

OR, you could go with the theory that it looks down the hallway upstairs before it turns right down the main hallway (confusing, I know).

I'll show you all what I'm talking about when I finish this project. I'm a man possessed. I've even found an EXTRA BEDROOM that is never shown according to my research.

Anyway, if anyone wants to take a crack at helping me out with this, it'd be more than appreciated. I think we just found the BIGGEST Full House mistake.

In Peace,
King Creole

An extra bedroom? Now I'm intrigued.

Where is this hidden bedroom in proximity to the other bedrooms that we know about?

Extra bedroom? Interesting.

I've always wondered about that "hole" in the living room right before the entrance to the back of the kitchen. The one to the right of the alcove. Is that a bathroom?

OK, without pictures this may lose some people but here goes...

Speaking from the 8th season standpoint:

DJ's room is the first room on the right after you climb the stairs from the living room. Across the hall from her room is the bathroom. Joey's room is right next to DJ's. Across from Joey's room is Steph and Michelle's room.

With me so far?

Now Danny's room is shown from the same perspective as Steph and Michelle's, with the door being on the audience's left. This tells me that his room is on the same side of the hall as both the bathroom and Steph's room.

That leaves a huge area next to Joey's room and across from Danny's room. So it has to be a bedroom or something. There's no way it's another bathroom. Sure, it could be a balcony or something but they never show us that particular part of the house.

Incidentally, the door leading to the attic is at the end of the stairs that lead up from the living room. I'm guessing the stairs from the kitchen lead to the other end of the hall upstairs by Danny's room and the MYSTERY AREA.

And about that hall in the living room next to the laundry room. They never show us where that leads so I'm assuming it leads nowhere at all. The SIDE door to the house is actually in the laundry room. Maybe that little hallway is just for decoration.

In any case, the floorplan used for the sets definitely do NOT correspond with the outside shots of the house. I even tracked down a floorplan for the exact same type of Victorian painted lady they use for the Tanner house. HUGE differences in what we see on the show. Only the first floor makes sense.

Anyway, when I'm finished with the floorplans I'll more than likely post them at one of the Full House fan sites.

I'll keep you all posted!

What are some more opinions on this?

In Peace,

Just curious why you're going to so much trouble and putting so much time into this.

It's fun! lol Why else?

I'm thinking about doing this for other series as well. I've added it to my long strew of hobbies.

And, yes, I do have a full-time job. lol

King Creole, for what it's worth, I think it's pretty cool that you're going to such trouble to make a floor plan. I'd like to see one laid out.

I always got the impression that if you walked straight down the hallway from the stairs, you'd walk right into Danny's room, not a wall. I think his bedroom ends the hallway. But there does seem to be a space between Joey's room ands Danny's.

Actually, I don't think his room is at the end of the hallway. When we're inside his room, you can see the other side of the hall through his doorway. You can see the hallway wall and a door that I suppose leads to either Joey's room or the mystery room.

If his room were at the end of the hall, we'd see down the hall toward the stairs through his doorway. I wish I had a place to post pics. Hey, maybe I'll start a Yahoo Group for those very few people who are interested.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Not a bad idea. But you are allowed to put pictures up on the boards though, right?

Not sure. I put some pics up here a while back and shortly after there was a post about not posting pics. I never looked into it, I just stopped doing it.

If anyone knows anything about the rules regarding posting pics, please let me know.

You can post pics. You just can't have them in your signature.
