I voted for Rod Roddy, because he was the announcer on "The Price Is Right". I used to watch it since I was younger.

The all time great Johnny Olsen. No one can say "A New Car" and "Come On Down" the way he did. He was truly a legendary announcer.

Rod held his own as well.

Both announcers are sorely missed on that show. Hats off to Rod Roddy for such a courageous battle he had with cancer. You would had never known he was sick by his announcing.

I remember that show back when I was a little kid where "The Price Is Right" had Johnny Olsen on it which he used to say "COME ON DOWN!!!" and "A NEW CAR!!!" When I was growing up, I usually love Rod Roddy on that show. I missed him very much.

I think the vote for best announcer is largely based on when the person who has the opinion was born. i.e., if all you've known is Rod Roddy announcing, then, in your opinion, Rod is the all-time best announcer in the history of Price. Of course, those of us who grew up with Johnny Olson, well, we know better. The original, in anything, sets the tone for anyone that follows. Anyone that succeeds this person has to follow in that person's footsteps. Who made that mark? Certainly Johnny Olson did. That's why I voted for him and stand by him.

Johnny was the man.

Rod was great as well.

I truly miss them both. Them, as announcers, were the heart and soul of the Price is Right.

When I was first watching "The Price Is Right" since I was a little boy, Johnny Olsen was the greatest. When I was turning a young kid until I reached 25, Rod Roddy was the man. But now, the new announcer, Rich Fields has taken their place as the new announcer. I hope Rich will be back to do the 33rd season of "The Price Is Right" starting September 12th. I missed both of them.
